• My Big Fat Greek Thanksgiving by sunsets12 | 4k, another short masterpiece. This is AU-No Mist (one of my favorite concepts) Sally, Paul and Perpollo meet Paul's family for Thanksgiving, it goes very wrong in the funniest way.

• the art of stealing a prince by sincerelylux | 1k, AU-Set in Ancient Greece. Very short but the writing style is AMAZING, the way Apollo's obsession and desire for Percy is written here 100/10. If you enjoy Dark Apollo and the gods acting more like in the myths, here you go.

• Under the Sun's Curse by seadrop | 18k, AU-Beauty & the Beast. This is part 1 from Percy's pov.

• The Shores We Find by seadrop | 23k. AU-Beauty & the Beast part 2, Apollo's pov.

• The serie Nothing is Ever Set in Stone by fanamaniac | 44k total. AU-Canon Divergence. As the tags say, kinda like The Lion King but Scar is Zeus and Apollo's Simba.

• Until you break, until you yield by Sappho_of_Space | 27k. AU-Set in Ancient Greece. Percy gets kidnapped by a king and Apollo and Poseidon go on a killing spree to get him back. Beautifully dark 10/10.

• Caesar on a TV Screen by sunsets12 | 7k. Another AU-No Mist. POV of Percy's ex. Apollo's jealous, it doesn't end well. 100/10

• At Last, the Light by seadrop | 43k. Mix between Tangled and The Little Mermaid. Absolutely gorgeous, Apollo is such a simp and so in love with Percy and Overprotective Poseidon (one of my fav tags). Deity Percy.

• Hekate's Chosen by klemgs | 400k. AU-Time Travel (Set in the Iliad) On going. Hekate sends Percy back in time to prevent the war of Troy. One of my absolute favorite Perpollo fics EVER. Very Dark Apollo, he's so in love with Percy and he made it everyone's problem (including Percy). ⚠️Mind the tags⚠️

• What’s in a Name? by anxious_tofu | 10k. AU-All Human. Apollo brings Percy to meet his family. Everything here is almost the same except that all of them are human, including the gods, as crazy as it is. This made me laugh out loud for full minutes, it's amazing.

• See The Beast You've Made Of Me by ashilrak | 100k. AU-No Mist. After the Mist fade, the Gods take over the world again, the Roman Gods, making Percy the new Emperor (basically their Face and Voice for the mortals). Very dark in general and know that there's no comfort here at all lol.

• Wild Fig Tree by klemgs | 40k. On going. Apollo and Percy met as kids and grow up together, everything is sweet and fluff... For the moment. I LOVE Klemgs, their writing is amazing, I recommend their other works, they're not Perpollo but they're really good (Ares/Percy. Eros/Percy).

• Perfumed Thorns by klemgs | 3k. On going. AU-Set in Ancient Rome. Aphrodite convinces Apollo to go to the Emperor's party to meet Percy. ⚠️Mind the tags⚠️

• Hunger (A Moth in the Twilight) by sunsets12 | 44k. On going. AU-Canon Divergence. Percy resembles Apollo's long-lost lover, Perseus. This is NOT good for Percy.

• Temptation (I Can't Escape You) by anxious_tofu | 31k. On going. Inspired in a previous fic I mentioned here: At last, The light, with its own voice of course. One of my favorites<3 Deity Percy.

• That Soft Glow by Anonymous | 113k. On going. AU-Soulmates mark. Canon-Divergence. Percy is Apollo's soulmate.

• The blood on my teeth begins to taste like a poem by Sole_Solace_Soul | 65k. On going. AU-Soulmates mark. Time Travel. No-Mist. Another soulmate AU because I love this concept!!

• Twice in One Lifetime by VentiAlatus | 86k. On going. AU-Time Travel. Inspired in a previous fic I mentioned: Hunger (A moth in the Twilight). Percy resembles Apollo's long-lost lover.

• The Lighthouse (The Beacon that Guides Us Home) by sunsets12 | 46k. On going. AU-No Mist. I love sunsets12's work, how do you know? 🤣 Percy disappears and his son, Andy, goes on a quest to get him back.

• Aphrodite's Mask by aphroditesfavorite | 80k. On going. Percy suddenly disappears and after years he then reunites with Apollo, the god learns that Percy is now a Prince. LOTS of things happen. Don't want to spoil too much on this one.

POST CANON

• Sing, O Muse by aadarshinah | 6k, The Yearbook committee of Percy's High School are running a thirst account account about him, as funny and messy as it sounds. ⚠️ This one is tagged with "Annabeth bashing" avoid the fic if you don't like the tag!!! It's a small mention but still⚠️

• Seven Bodies and A God by Butterflies_Stormclouds | 7k, it's on hold for the moment. Dark Apollo that cannot confess his feelings for Percy so he starts killing all of Percy's dates instead.

• my mid-youth crisis by magdalenes (ariadnes) | 7k, Pre-relationship. The unresolved sexual tension here is crazy lol.

• Raising My Heart to Higher Levels by mrthology | 8k. Deity Percy. Apollo turns into Lester again to prove a point (he's wrong).

• Facing the Sun by VentiAlatus | 200k. Percy is Hyacinth's reincarnation. He eventually ascends. Read it please, it's amazing.

• as if you were a mythical thing by stardustupinlights | 200k. Percy gets stuck in the stupidest situation ever and drags Apollo in, very slowly, love happens. Aphrodite ships it

• Apollo vs. Cat by anxious_tofu | 6k. Percy takes a street cat home until he finds it an owner, the cat is determined to make Apollo's life miserable. Hilarious as FCK, totally recommend it.

• what's a god to a nonbeliever? by Almas | 57k. On going tho it hasn't been updated since 2021 :( The characterization of Apollo and Percy here is wonderful.

• The serie The Sight Of You Will Prove To Me I'm Still Alive by ashilrak | 32k. Set during Trials of Apollo but Percy is there helping Lester.

• Feelings Are Overrated (And Other Lies Percy Jackson Tells Himself) by Everettevans | 4k. On going. After breaking up with Annabeth, Percy decides he will not have any other romantic relationship just casual dates... Until he makes the mistake of sleeping with Apollo.

Thinking of writing a perpollo fic, would anyone be interested in reading it once its done?

so ive read a lot of perpollo fics recently, and a lot of athenide as well, and was thinking of writing one loosely based on that.

I noticed a lot of the perpollo fics i have bookmarked are no longer updating and I understand that things get tough for fic writers with work, environemntal factors and family/personal issues, I've written a few fics myself for other fandoms and struggled to continue updating for various reasons, though never fics as long as the one im planning, and ive just gotten a bit frustrated.

I'll repeat myself again, I in no way blame the authors of these fics. I got frustrated at the lack of finished perpollo and decided screw it, im gonna write it myself, and wanted to know it anyone would read a fic of a troupe that's already been done a lot?

ive already planned out nearly the whole fic (like half my notebook is taken up with just the plan for this thing, its getting massive), and just need to research a bit more on ancient greek stuff and write it now, (estimated to be about 72k words if i keep up a 3k words per chapter, but will probably either go way over or under knowing me), but i wouldn't upload any chapters until the whole fic is written beginning to end.

Additionally,

Is the athenide au overly done?? I see loads of fics or beginning of fics that use the athenide and was wondering if i did write a fic loosely based around it (with my own twists and plot ofc), would anyone be interested in reading yet another time travel/athenide au it if i did write it?

How do people feel about Fem!Percy in Perpollo?

The fic im thinking of writing, im planning on using Fem!Percy, then again I haven't actually written much of it, and it could be changed if no one but me enjoys it.

Also, how do people feel about PJO fics writers changing up some of the cannon / mythology lore to fit in with fics?

Do people prefer it to be in line with cannon or go off script? I have no preference and if i do write it and share it, i want other people to enjoy it too.

I just kind of want to write a fic that I could be satisfied with that has an ending, and want to be able to share it with others so that they can enjoy it too.

Plot

The general basis of the Plot:

Percy going back in time w amnesia (though idk if its going back in time if Percy is technically already in the time twice before going back in time??)

Becoming a deity of Athens (though in this fic Athena is NOT Percys mum)

Poseidon trying his best (he really does try his best in this one, not always best executed, but its the thought that counts)

Zeus getting overly paranoid causing things to blow out of proportion

Perpollo being hunted down

A whole other new phrophecy but for the gods (which honestly was the hardest thing to write)

Happy ending? (querie on if its a happy ending, it could go both ways, ive got two versions planned out :] )

A slow burn perpollo with angst on the side with memory stuff (again, amount of angst depends on which version I go with)

Percy loved Apollo, but nothing could be forever. Apollo clearly didn't understand that.

He carefully guided his lips onto Percy's, and he had to smile as they kissed. "They're worth everything," he declared.

He laughed freely: "Some might disagree."

Apollo frowned. "What do you mean?"

Percy stared at him, suddenly uneasy. Apollo had never been reticent about his dislike of that particular relationship of his—even though it had been entirely platonic for years. "Annabeth? Her nickname for me?"

Apollo made a noise of realization. "Athena's girl, you mean," he mused.

"Yeah," he replied slowly. How had Apollo—a god—managed to forget about Percy's best friend? "Speaking of whom, I miss her."

"Do you, now." Percy didn't find many things intimidating these days, but the soft menace in Apollo's tone made the hairs on his arm rise up.
