A Hale-Bopp Holiday - December 25th, 1997.

"Seen from the Pik Terskol Observatory in the northern Caucasus mountains, Comet Hale-Bopp and the bright stars of the constellation Perseus hang above the snowy, Moon-lit landscape. Although it reminds northern hemisphere dwellers of an idyllic winter scene, this picture was actually recorded in the spring - on April 13th, 1997."

GK Persei

GK Persei is a classical nova located about 1,530 light years away towards the constellation Perseus. A classical nova occurs when material builds up on the surface of a white dwarf star, accumulated from a binary companion star. Once enough material, particularly hydrogen gas, accumulates, nuclear fusion reactions can occur and intensify into huge hydrogen bomb blasts that blow off material from the white dwarf star.

Novas are sometimes considered similar to supernova explosions- while those are much more massive, destroying entire stars, some of the physics remain the same. Both involve explosions and fast moving shock waves. Since novas are much smaller, their remnants tend to evolve quickly, and so are important for the study of cosmic explosions. GK Persei was observed twice, once in 2000 and once in 2013, between which it expanded at about 700,000 miles per hour, meaning its shock wave moved about 90 billion miles.

Regarding the design, I still intend to change a few things. I want to make the shield completely different, since it's his symbol, it will be something unique, like Crux's, which is different from the other constellations.

And I'm not sure about his hair. I liked blonde to contrast with Orion, but I'm still thinking about it aaaaa(*´∀｀*)

In the mythology of the constellations, Perseus is a bitter entity... Because he was one of the constellations who opposed to Orion's attitude of protecting humans.

In Perseus's view, Orion's attitude would be a problem for all the constellations, so he fought with the hunter, trying to prevent it, but what destroyed Perseus was seeing Pegasus alongside Orion...

Pegasus is like a brother to him here, and seeing him rebel was like a great betrayal from the person he trusted most...

Currently, Perseus is in his eternal sleep as punishment from the Universe, and on Earth, according to the myths, it is totally forbidden to believe in him, as he is an extremely powerful Combat-type constellation, but whoever dared to believe in him went completely insane (because Perseus drives people to madness because of his resentment towards Earth).

In the few moments when he is awake, he tries to get close to the Shinkirou brothers to take revenge on the constellations/take the position of leader (which previously belonged to Orion, but now Centaurus is in that position)👀

A reminder to everyone that Andromeda's and Perseus star constellations are next to eachother same as her having a galaxy named after her.

Not Medusa and Perseus or anyone else, but Andromeda and Perseus. I take comfort that no matter the cheap and forgetful retellings separating them, the stars are a reminder of which couple remains supreme.
