Everyone talking about how Athena is the number one Odypen shipper (rightfully so) but we don’t talk enough about how she made Perseus and Andromeda constellations. She’s also the number one Persomeda shipper, she’s just like me fr.

About the Video :
The Andromeda constellation consists of 16 stars visible in the northern sky. Named by ancient Greeks after the mythological Andromeda princess, the constellation contains the Andromeda Galaxy, the nearest full-fledged galaxy to our own Milky Way.
It is a barred spiral galaxy and is the nearest major galaxy to the Milky Way. It was originally named the Andromeda Nebula and is cataloged as Messier 31, M31, and NGC 224. Andromeda has a diameter of about 46.56 kiloparsecs (152,000 light-years) and is approximately 765 kpc (2.5 million light-years) from Earth. The galaxy's name stems from the area of Earth's sky in which it appears, the constellation of Andromeda, which itself is named after the princess who was the wife of Perseus in Greek mythology.
The Andromeda constellation, also known as the Chained Maiden, is seen over the El Capitan vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park in California. To the surprise of many people, it can be spotted with the naked eye on a clear night from August through February.

the ballad of andromeda, excerpt 6: she remembers every moment of her death
hi. this is the constellation andromeda, which also contains the andromeda galaxy (how cool!??)
anywho, this is the last excerpt in the timeline (not the last one ill write - prolly). i thought i would end andromedas story with a beginning. she doesn't die, she is reborn. ive always loved the idea that the constellations contain some essence of the people they were named after - as if they are living still in the stars.
i hope you enjoy, and thank you for reading, it means the world to me <3 daph

She remembers every moment of her death, as if she is watching from above, sitting in the theatron, watching the play unfold. A tragedy she knows the ending to. The actors are missing their cues, Heart missteps, Lungs forgets the line, the chorus of Muscles are out of sync - the human disorder.
If she tries to turn her head away, she would find that her muscles have lost their tension, and are no longer responsive - she could not move. But she doesn’t. After all, she is only human. So, she continues to watch her tragedy unfold, knowing the morbid ending, but unable to look away.
She watches fervently, her eyes dilate, her breath hitches, her skin grows cold. She is reacting in time to the performance.
Primary flaccidity, the chorus sings. Her muscles relax, she knows this part of the play - it is about to end.
Pallor mortis, the heart states, and she pales.
Algor mortis, the heart cries, the chill of death. The stage goes dark, the actors stop, and she knows that the play is over.
She remembers every moment after her death, as if she is watching from above, sitting in the theatron, as a new play begins. The actors are different, Hydrogen and Helium, fusing together under a catastrophic amount of pressure. The chorus of dust pushes inwards, pushes outward, illuminating the dark stage in colours she has not seen before - infrared.
She is burning, releasing radiation in solar flares, illuminating the darkness. Her muscles flex, a hand galaxies away from a foot. She is eternal and vast, stretching infinity. A phenomenon that cannot be destroyed.
Catasterize, she realizes. She has been re-born in the stars. Made immortal in the night sky.
She supposes she should have seen this coming. After all, her mother had loved to tell her of her birth.
I spent the night waiting for you, her mother would often recall, but you did not deem to meet me until is seemed that every star in the night sky shone at its brightest, beckoning you to bath in their light, and when you finally did come, you screamed as if your body had been ripped from your soul, and you were already mourning the life you had before.
It only made sense that in her death, the stars would welcome her home, and she returns to the night sky.
Andromeda Galaxy “Spiral Up” Spread
This spread is going to be a little different, but it hits home for me so I’d like to share it with you all. The Andromeda Galaxy is named after the Greek figure Andromeda, whose father attempted to sacrifice her to a sea monster in order to make up for his wife Cassiopeia’s boasts about their daughter’s beauty. After she was rescued by Perseus, she made a happy life for herself and was even said to be honored by Athena when she died. This spread, therefore, is meant to be about rising up again after dealing with a relationship that did more harm than good.
1. Central Bulge: The central bulge of a galaxy is the densest part. It’s chock FULL of stars and often is structured like a mini galaxy within the galaxy. This position represents the heart of the querent. Who are they as a person? What remains when you peel everything else away? It’s important to center before continuing with relationship work so you don’t run the risk of losing yourself.
2. Arm 1: The arms of a spiral galaxy like Andromeda move outward from the central bulge into the galactic disk. For this reason, this position represents the ways in which the relationship is pulling you away from your true self. How are you diluting yourself in order to keep the peace? How can you get back to center?
3. Bar 1: Astronomers believe the bar of a spiral galaxy was created by a “density wave”, or interactions between parts of the galaxy that are orbiting at different rates from one another. This position is about what is pushing you away from the person in question--what is the “density wave” causing you to move at different orbits? Is there anything else that can be done about it?
4. Arm 2: The arms of a spiral galaxy like Andromeda are characterized by new star formation. Young, vibrant OB stars (the brightest and hottest kinds) are abundant in these areas of the galaxy. This arm represents the good that came out of the relationship you are trying to leave behind, because it is important to acknowledge what, if anything was benefiting you from staying. In doing so, you will be able to figure out other ways to get those things and move on more completely.
5. Bar 2: The bar of a spiral galaxy is hypothesized to be a sort of “stellar nursery”, in which stars are actively being born at a rapid pace. This position is therefore all about the benefits of moving on. What new pleasures are waiting for your unfettered soul?
Reading Tips: As always, the positions are more guidelines than fact! The spread is currently set up to be read counterclockwise in order to banish the negative energies of the past, but feel free to switch position 3 and position 5 to switch the reading pattern to clockwise! This reading will be more inclined to invite in the positive energies of the future.
