Today I'll be sharing a few facts about a few countries...
Kazakh and Russian aren't similar languages
Kazakh, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Azeri and Tuvan are Turkic Languages!!!
Which means they evolved from Proto-Turkic
Though all of them are Turkic languages, Kazakh, Kyrgyz and Uzbek aren't mutually intelligible with Turkish
Turkmen and Azeri are really close to Turkish and are sometimes considered dialects of Turkish
Fun fact: Turkish is actually written in the Latin script, as the Arabic script doesn't have vowels to fit Turkish, Turkish is softer and has a lot more vowels..
All of these countries except Turkey, were ruled by U.S.S.R
Azeri and Turkmen have moved towards the Latin script
Before Cyrillic, all of these were written in Latin Script, and Arabic before that
Arabic was used till 1920's
Though the official script of Written Uzbek is Latin, the people still use Cyrillic the most
Kazakh is also moving Towards the Latin Script
Some of you may ask me which family does this belong to then
Tajik is a Persian Dialect, so hence it's an Iranian-Persian Language
Countries that have moved/are moving towards Latin Script
As Kyrgyzstan has a very low economy, shifting scripts would increase the problem
This is how these languages would be written in Cyrillic
Қазақша, Ӯзбекча, Қырғызча, Азери, Туркмен
This is the same in Latin
Qazaqşa, Ózbekça, Kirğizça, Azeri Turkmençe
