@persistcnt | Questions for your Inquisitor | not accepting
4. Did they ally with the mages or the Templars? Why?SĂ©aghdha perhaps predictably aligns with the mages, though he does so for more reasons than just âIâm a mage, tooâ and wanting to keep his fellow mages safe. While he will admit that this mentality did play a notable part, he ultimately just felt the mages were a far more powerful and resourceful ally than the Templars would prove to be. Additionally, it helped that he felt a large group of mages together would also be much more successful in solving all the recent magical mysteries (i.e. the Anchor, rifts, etc) than the Templars ever could.
8. Which candidate did they support for the position of Divine?Softened Leliana. SĂ©aghdha thinks she is absolutely the best candidate, hands down. In fact, itâs a bit hard for him to comprehend why anyone would consider someone else for the role.
15. What does your Inquisitor think about the Grey Wardens? Did they choose to banish the Order?SĂ©aghdha has a lot of very complicated feelings about the Wardens. For one, his predominant opinion is being grateful to them for all that they do and sacrifices for the people as Thedas. However, he does have reservations on some of the tactics the Wardens reportedly use. He also finds the general ability of the organization to operate outside âthe lawâ to be troublesome. In some cases, he fully supports this ability because as he has learned first hand, âlawâ can be exceptionally corrupt and petty. On the other hand, he worries that this power can (and sometimes is) being abused by the Wardens.
Despite all his internal complications on the matter, though, SĂ©aghdha readily opts for supporting the Wardenâs rebuilding. Until a permanent solution for the Darkspawn crisis is discovered and implemented, Thedas simply needs them.
16. Does your Inquisitor let the Inquisition remain or do they disband it?SĂ©aghdha disbands the Inquisition as soon as he gets to the chance. Apart from being absurdly traumatized by the recent events, and dealing with an abundance of trauma accrued over the course of the Inquisitionâs existence, he simply doesnât want anything to do with it anymore.
He has more reasons to disband the Inquisition than just fury-fueled bitterness, however. SĂ©aghdha strongly feels that the Inquisition is far, far too powerful a force. He knows that now that itâs main mission has been âaccomplishedâ (as far as the rest of the world is concerned) political powers in Thedas will be doubling their efforts to manipulate and capture that power for themselves. He refuses to allow the organization that he has lead all this time to become some casual tool being used for political or personal gain, to allow the organization to drastically and unnaturally shift the balance of powers. He feels that he has had enough experience with the politics of Thedas and the people behind those politics to know that the majority would absolutely use the power of the Inquisition to hurt, oppress, and destroy. He doesnât trust any of them, and by this point, he barely trusts even those closest to him, and thus also refuses to pass the torch of leadership.
23. Which members of the Inquisition are they closest to and why?Assuming weâre talking canon only, SĂ©aghdha is originally closest to Solas, hands down. He feels great admiration towards him and definitely looks up to him as both mentor and friend. His close relationship to the elf is one of the reasons why his betrayal had such devastating consequences.
In general, though, SĂ©aghdha is close with all his companions and would consider all of them extremely close friends. However, if we want to nitpick, SĂ©aghdha is close with Dorian, Vivienne, and Cassandra. In Dorianâs case, they bond very much over shared experiences and interests. For Vivienne, he deeply appreciates her friendly affection and honesty. For Cassandra, they grow close due to the shared experiences and very deep trust that develops over time as they face things together.
If weâre including non-canon characters, however, this list changes. Cyrran ( @virassxn ) is and always will be SĂ©aghdhaâs closest person. Frankly put, theyâre platonic soulmates. Then thereâs Erendriel ( @ingxni ), who is very much SĂ©aghdhaâs ultimate mentor and paternal figure. These two are his family, and he loves them unconditionally. Itâs also safe to assume that his romantic interest would be at the top of his list, for obvious reasons.
42. Which bed does your Inquisitor sleep in, if they ever get a chance to sleep?SĂ©aghdha uses the âFree Marches IIâ bed. Itâs massive, and he likes the privacy and extra darkness the draped provide.
