wip wednesday
here's just some snippets of what i've been cooking in echoes, coven, and in the rebecca/wanda piece:
this time in persistent echoes: ch 20- In Which Wanda Avoids Both Sleep and Paintballs
Five minutes go by, and nothing has happened.
“You know, I hear people of a certain age can have performance issues in the bedroom.” Wanda murmurs to break the tension, lounging on her side, watching Agatha’s silhouette as her brow scrunches in concentration.
Agatha’s eyes snap open, as her laughter takes her by surprise. “Honey, are you saying that I’m having trouble getting it up?”
“I mean, if the shoe fits.” Wanda hums, pleased with herself.
Agatha groans, and slumps back. “I don’t know how to make it pop up. I didn’t even realize I was doing it before.”
“It’s been a long day.” Wanda says quietly. “Exhausting for everyone. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have asked.”
“Hush, I was curious too.” Agatha rolls over, and Wanda seizes the opportunity to snuggle in.

For PE: something with a townsperson?? Any interaction with Sharon or whoever 😭 pls I love the way you write the people of westview
okay this isn't adult townspeople, but agatha's wreaking havoc on the Teens:
"It would be easier if they could type them up in class, and some people had complained quietly about Agatha’s moratorium on electronic devices- but Agatha refused to budge an inch. Somebody in a different class period said that when they tried to secretly record her lecturing, hoping to take more notes later, the audio file playback was just high pitched screaming.
Someone else in Billy’s class, that guy Tony, pushed his luck with his phone a week and a half into Agatha’s tenure- very casually texting under his desk at the end of class, while Agatha was answering a question, and not looking his way.
She still wasn’t looking at him; Billy didn’t even see her cast- but suddenly a projection of Tony’s phone display appeared, floating above his head, showing exactly what he was doing in his hoodie’s pocket.
Billy squinted, and could make out that he was texting someone, a girl whose name he didn’t know.
That was also how Madison, Tony’s girlfriend, also found out who he was messaging."
wip wednesday again and maybe...
persistent echoes, ch 21
word: love (was said, thought, or implied by Agatha)
Okay, so Agatha and Billy are both way too twisted up in their own emotional trauma to really gaze inward about their motivations but, I can assure that, in this scene, Agatha’s having fun and loving it:
“Billy slumps in his seat. Okay, maybe this wouldn’t be so bad. If Agatha just ignores the class for the remainder of the school year, he can just use this as an extra study hall.
Wishful thinking there, Teen. Her voice is like a static shock through his mind, and Billy jumps, startled, and she’s laughing, but only in his head.
He glares at her, and she glances up at him, over the open book.
And has the audacity to wink.
Billy blinks, realizing; she’s not ignoring them. She’s telepathically reading the minds of every kid in here, which can’t lead to anything good- “
WIP Wednesday
persistent echoes, chapter 21:
Agatha continues to ignore them.
Billy slumps in his seat. Okay, maybe this wouldn’t be so bad. If Agatha ignores them for the remainder of the school year, he can just use this as an extra study hall.
Wishful thinking there, Teen. Her voice is like a static shock through his mind, and Billy jumps, startled, and she’s laughing, but only in his mind. He glares at her, and she glances up at him.

The bell rings.
not to sound dramatic but i'm willing to add "#1 persistent echoes fan" on my gravestone because i love it so much
Oh stopppp it’s too much 😂 thank you! Wwaw is my dearest project- I’ve been letting it rest after the effort of the last chapter (historical flashback sections really take it out of me) but rest assured we’re in the beginning of the third and final act- many things will be coming to a fairly dramatic boil (it’s Agatha and Wanda, what else would you expect?)
Some random words in no particular order that are also hints: magenta, football field, exodus 22:18, someone gets face punched, accidental grandparent acquisition (not who you’re thinking), “it’s only an assassination if you were still important. As you’re not, this is a sparkling homicide.”
this time in persistent echoes:
The books on the shelves closest to him start to rattle, and shake, and then- he feels nothing. Sees nothing.
Until a familiar voice cuts through the fog.
“You’re so much like your mother.”
And suddenly, there’s a familiar hand on his shoulder, and he can breathe again- then, a flare of purple, and his power simply vanishes.
