well twist my arm @iamdeltas and @tunemyart
Basically the conceit of this is that god's least favorite angel and lucifer's favorite princess go on a series of Life Changing Field Trips across the Multiverse, and along the way come to the horrifying realization that they are in love with each other. Ft. assorted fun genre tropes (they accidentally become greek gods! they go to the furry plane and change into animals! they're professors at magic school!) and tying up of loose plot ends (dead lovers that they both killed on accident! they both have deranged stalkers! the same fucked up "friend" group!)
Now, for the trivia. These are pests, the Witherbloom College magical animals:
I'm getting around to this in the story, but we won't get there for a while so- Liliana pretends to be omniscient about where everyone physically is, because she's a shit, but she's not actually all knowing. Rather, after the trauma of her everything, she's got tracking spells on her more adventurous students (from their blood, of course); but for the other planeswalkers, she's had to get creative.
Her second years are not the best caretakers of their pests. Fortunately, this means she's had a lot of fodder to raise and experiment on- and in her research with aetheric essence binding, has figured out how to tie a pest to a planeswalker's life force. These hybrid pests tell her the condition of the pw in question- alive, dead, injured, or otherwise; basically letting her spy on her former friends and/or frenemies. Which means that she's got an insane greenhouse tucked away somewhere which contains:
Pestace- blue, and constantly floats exactly two inches off the ground. Recently gotten lighter in color.
Pestraska- dark green, with scales and tiny snake fangs.
Pestandra- bright red and breathes just a teeny lick of fire.
Pestissa- bright green and can photosynthesize.
Pestzzert- dark blue, and shits little tiny etherium nuggets.
Dina is in charge of the pests when Liliana is otherwise occupied. It's a harrowing job, and she's not getting extra credit.
(Liliana tried to make a Pestideon. It exploded. It took her a three day murder bender on Innistrad to cool off.)
