My sister convinced me to proctor for her middle school. In my state, it's required by law that no final school exams be given without both an instructor and a proctor in the room. I was assigned to 6th graders taking a math exam. They were so attentive, polite and just cute... I could tell they all tried really hard on the exam and where constantly asking for new pencils or scrap paper so they could do their all. I recall seeing two boys that were separated from the others, like given extra space and a bit isolated. So I assumed they were a bit hyper or liked to have a bit more fun during class. During the exam, they both got off task a bit more than others. They would put their heads on the table and spend time doodling... or just staring around the room. I checked with both a few times, wanting to know if they needed anything. Each time, they resumed working... I thought they wouldn't finish in time... but it turned out that they had both sped through the majority of the exam before the others. They were just so BORED. They had more than enough time to finish and the reason they doodled a bunch was because they didn't even need to physically work out the problems. Like damn, they just wanted something to do ... I hope they both get into good colleges and end up majoring in something they love. Hope they end up doing great things with their brains. Also they were both black; hope you weren't assuming anything.
