The challenge of personal data
I don't hold out much hope for solutions that expect or require widespread and active engagement in an individual's management of data about themselves. But I remain convinced that there is value (for consumers, governments and business) in finding better ways to handle the flow of data, assertions and permissions than we typically see today. The World Economic Forum's work in this area, and projects such as miData, raise some interesting questions but certainly don't offer all the answers yet.
And now David Siegel has a post on Medium, trying to drum up support for his own particular take on the solution.
