A great men free skate! A highlevel competition! I cannot believe that I say that about the men 🤯

Mikhail Shaidorov - Misha really doesn't have an easy season and it's a great achievement to even be at GPF. I really don't get his free skate at all...but I know that it's close to his heart...so whatever I hope it gives him strength. Misha could not deliver what he is capable of today but I do think it was a good fight. He should be proud of himself. 🫶
Adam Siao Him Fa 🫶- After the first 4 jumping passes I thought he might just have another comeback skate and even climb up bc it was a perfect start, but then both 3A lost him lots of points 🫣 Still a great fight and after this lackluster SP it shows once again that Adam is not to be underestimated. Also both his costumes are much better, especially the short program costume. (Still surprised ESP commentator Sigi understood the concept of the program with the costume bc no one so far did 😂) Not sure the costume change in the free is necessary but I think it's also not bad.
Daniel Grassl - I do think he has improved a lot over the years, if it should give him this many points though 🙈 I still find his skating unpleasant to watch BUT he delivered cleanly to his best abilities and I don't even have that much complaints about his landings today. So well done Daniel I guess. I don't think Shun should have been behind him in the free skate but as Shun got over him overall I am fine with that.
Ilia Malinin ❤️ - I think the superlatives are not enough to express what a crazy achievement that is. 7 quads! From a technical standpoint this is just tremendous. 🔥🔥🔥 Really Quadgod! And also the quality of the jumps was there unlike last GPF where the landings weren't good. I was simply baffled by the perfection of the skate! Also this costume is stunning 😍 And the program grows on me. I still am not a fan of voiceovers but well in this case I don't think it disrupts the program. The text well 😂 Anyway I do like Ilia and I do like the program. Was it necessary to give him 92 PCS? Well no... but he is a good skater even if some ppl like to complain like he should only deserve 5s and he performs well in his own way. It's just completely different than what Yuma does. And Yuma won PCS even if narrowly.
Shun Sato ❤️ - Loved this program! Perfect skate from Shun! 👏👏👏👏 Everything was there! Jumps, artistry, spins! 🔥 Imo he would have even deserved more points for the free skate, but his coach was still overjoyed and I think 3rd place was the best he could have hoped for, so it's fine. 🫶
Yuma Kagiyama ❤️ - This program is the best men program of the season and Yuma performs it so exquisitely! 😍😍😍 I am not sure how much pressure he felt bc of Ilia BUT I do think he fought his own demons very well. The focus should not be Ilia, but yourself and I think that is what he remembered here and what served him well. He was not foot perfect and the mistakes were costly, would not have changed the results though. I think the 2nd place is a win in my books. 🫶
