Terry Jones (1942–2020)
Four films have been banned in Ireland. I directed three of them.
There have been rather more than four films banned in Ireland, but three of his films did spend years on that banned list. You should also know that Jones’ historical academic work literally changed the way we look at Chaucer’s The Knight’s Tale, and Chaucer’s death. Oh, you should know he wrote Labyrinth.
