MY PERSONAL BATMAN UNIVERSE (1)

I've mentioned several times before that I wrote a fanfiction and it was extremely long. Besides, that's a bit the principle of my blog, it's my personal Batman universe, even if sometimes I mention the official comics.

I would like to publish it one day, I would, but as I want it to be well written and well translated, it won't be right away. That said, I wanted to give you a summary, so that you understand a little better what I draw, because ultimately I don't draw a lot of fanart strictly speaking.

Summary Batman: Through the Looking Glass.

Batman is sent into a magic mirror that the gods created thousands of years ago, and which will confront him with a reality that can either save him or lose him forever.

In this mirror his whole world seems reversed. He's not Batman and he never lost his parents.

There he meets Jack Napier, the Joker who never fell into the toxic vat, who became a comedy star and a popular actor, all thanks to a great evening where Bruce Wayne and the little actor were able to link their destiny.

He discovers that he is a wonderful man and the most disturbing thing is that he ends up realizing that he is the person of his dreams, the person he always needed and who Gotham needs. But now, once back in his reality thanks to a relentless and retrospective investigation of his subconscious, in the company of Jack….Batman tries to pretend nothing happened. His reason pushes him to continue his life, and he tries to reassure himself as best he can in his habits, except that he will end up making serious mistakes. In truth he can no longer get Jack out of his head. As much as he wants to forget everything and stay lucid, it doesn't work. Forced by events, he will have to face his worst enemy, whom he no longer sees quite as before. Well, he's going to break down, think he's going crazy, until he realizes that the key to his problems may have been simply in front of his eyes all this time. Did the mirror send him a message? For the first time he really seems to see Joker as a weakness, a human being, more than a creature, at least this is the first time he objectively admits it to himself.

If Batman sees in his reversals a spark in Joker, Joker sees himself very distraught but not for very long, since he sees here the opportunity to dream of destroying his adored Batsy, he bets it with Harley. It will be his most Machiavellian trick, the Bat eats out of his hand and his heart will be broken forever. Above all, Harley sees Joker as blatant denial and bets that Batman will put an end to this doom clown once and for all. The bet is launched.

Well, Batman is not fooled, he suspects the Joker's jokes except that now he is determined to believe in him, or rather to believe in Jack, convinced that it is indeed this man he must save from the clutches of the Joker. But a how?

Sans follows Batman's various maneuvers to free the man in his life from a curse for which he blames himself and a Joker who pursues his evil designs, until memory problems plague our great detective... where Is the Joker card hanging in the batcave? To overcome his sudden memory lapses, Batman searches through his files and comes across old articles of his parents' deaths, but nothing seems the same anymore? A young boy is found in crime scene photos? Who is this boy ? He had never seen it before! Nothing is going right anymore, Batman feels lost, he is starting to believe that he is still in the mirror, or is it this crazy clown who planned everything? Mad with rage, he attacks the Joker, against all the promises he had made about him, right at the moment when the latter was almost convinced to abandon his future crimes. Too disturbed, Batman collapses, a great light invades him.

He's actually in a hospital, Gotham Children's Hospital, and he's the one who's hospitalized.

His parents died recently. Harley, his psychologist, takes care of him; he appears to suffer from serious personality disorders. While his friend Jack tries to keep in touch with him despite this imaginary world that he invented to protect himself from the reality that terrifies him...

After which the story is built in two stages: 1) in Batman's universe, and the other in Bruce's reality.

In total there are 10 major chapters: Which deconstruct all the issues of the Batman universe, with the survival of Gotham at stake in the face of relationships: Batman/Joker, Batman/Bruce, Joker/Jack, Batman/Jack and Bruce/Jack. And of course ! All this against a backdrop of investigations and intrigues of all kinds, that’s Batman! If most of the story is centered on Batman and Joker/Jack, the fact remains that I take care of all the most cult characters: Cat, Ivy, the batfamily, The Mad Hatter, Justice League, Two-Face, Maroni, Falcone, the Penguin, Killer Croc, in addition to the characters I invented for the story.

I'm certain no one cares about my Spiderverse OC or his whole universe but I wanna make a masterpiece of all his shit. I can't seem to remember how to draw rn so it's all just words rn.

Spiderman is Nonbinary and uses he/Its/their pronouns. (Like me!) I'm trying to swap out them appropriately but like most I'm not used to using multiple pronouns for a single being except for myself since mine changes as I feel and this is more telling a story than expressing feelings in real time.

A big part of their story is to find out what exactly it means to be human. I personally struggle with a disassociation between myself and the concept of being human. I struggle with the thoughts and feelings that I'm more a dangerous predator that's trying to domesticate itself to fend off the soul breaking loneliness that holds onto it's heart and I wanted to have a character for that!!

I wanted a story that was just: it's ok if you're not meant to be part of the crowd, because we'll accept you anyways and you'll find a place at our table

Ok!!

First off his life is broken into 5 main stages:

Incubation: my Spiderman was genetically created in a lab using the DNA of multiple Spiderman from other universes to try and create an ultimate leader for what was dubbed the "Predation Project" and keep the others created before him in line(And ultimately create a being that can survive traveling to multiple dimensions without any negative affects). During the first 9 years of his life they focused on manipulating his genetics and enhancing his abilities. I wanted its whole deal to be it's incredibly powerful and that its path to becoming a hero isn't to get stronger but to learn to be human and how to restrain himself/value life.

Training/The Laboratory: A close call with the avengers leads his creators to pull him out of development early. This leaves him genetically unstable and from age 9-15 Spiderman, simply called Arachnid as his codename, was trained in physical combat and they worked on its "base" skills and abilities. These are Venom Bite/Injecting Fangs, Super Strength, Superior Healing Factor, Ability to Crawl on all Surfaces, and finally Spider Sense. More develop overtime as it grows but with his he loses his ability to maintain a true human form. He at this time is given access to a large library of scientific literature, thesis experiments and such,as well as getting a sped up generalized education as it is guided down a path to be a reconnaissance weapon when not leading his team. I'll introduce the others in the Predation Project but safe to say Arachnid is at least 5 years younger than the youngest and they don't like following his orders.

The Vivisection: At age 15 Arachnid shows his first break in his training. They hesitates to continue a sparing match when they accidentally draws blood and consumes it for the first time in its life. The genetic material he absorbed reacts to his already barely stable DNA and it openly mutates for the first time in his life. Before this they had been doing damage control with injections to keep him stable in hopes to keep him alive long enough to make a second Arachnid. When he mutates he gains some feline features as well as some arachnid features start to take over. His eyes were already odd with a double pupil in his right eye partially fused together but now he had faint stripes on his body and reenforced nails into claws on all limbs.

Due to this unforseen change he is seen as a failure for the project and is taken into the lab one final time for an intensive vivisection and completely study of his internal form to see what was different before they would terminate him. He is kept alive and aware as they take him apart but his healing factor he is kept barely alive. Eventually he falls unconscious unable to handle the pain only to wake up in a cold locker sewn up waiting to be disposed of. He breaks out of the locker and before he leaves the morgue he takes a file labeled his and trashes the place. As he goes to leave the alarms go off, the avengers have discovered the lab and are on the assault.He finds himself on an island off the shore of New York City. Arachnid escapes during the chaos and sees the sun for the first time in his life.

The Birth of Spiderman: Arachnid spends about a year on the streets of New York going from eating random animals he catches to dumpster diving. He sticks to himself but is stumbled upon a Dr. Conners who after a month or so of leaving food out for him gets enough trust to try and help him with his genetic instability, as now he has sprouted a second pair of arms and his already inhuman features are exaggerated. We find out that by regularly injecting human DNA he can maintain a human form so with the help of Dr. Conners Arachnid begins to regularly drink donated bags of blood. Arachnid sticks with the Doctor for a few months and begins his career as Spiderman, wearing a sleeveless cut open blue hoodie and a red skimask with melding googles, until he bumps into another Doctor while on parole. Dr Stephen Strange takes interest in him and gives him a place to stay and train in exchange for aid around New York. Arachnid accepts the offer only to learn there is another condition to the partnership... He must get a education while living with Strange, he eventually agrees and tests out for his GED with the help of the Sorcerer Supreme to gain a civilian identity: Peter Parker.( I genuinely thought of making it something different but honestly why bother when it's a good name)

This continues from age 16-22 as he gets his college education early and with his heightened intellect he double majors with Genetics/Chemistry degrees, by 22 he's working on his master's degrees. With the help of the Bracers of unending force Spiderman grows in strength and other abilities exponentially. The Bracers are commonly thought to be what makes him stronger when in reality they're more like weights/increases the pressure of gravity on Spiderman similar to training in the chamber in Dragonball.

Spiderman meets the avengers for the first time at the age of 17. More to come later on that. He is a weird as MF and it's pretty funny how they react.

Finally there is the most "recent" events in the timeline for any story I will write:

Arachnid/Peter Octavius: at the age of 22, still living at the sanctum Arachnid still feels conflicted with letting go of his old name, he has friends he's made in school and is far more comfortable in society but is still a very unusual person.

The current love story is still being formed but so far Otto still accidentally turns himself into a supervillain but this time due to his attempts to create a way to travel different dimensions. The lab accident is caused by the Predators Prime (the others from the Predation Project) attack in attempt to get the near complete machine.

And that's it so far!!

My end goal is to make multiple fics in this universe and the general dimensions connected to it with some other AU characters of have in my head( like a Iron Man character named Iron Phantom/Tony Stark from the year 2376 who's abilities are from nano machines that fused to his body after his father Howard experimented on him giving him the ability to possess machines/technopathy.)

Also there's a few other Spiderman pairings in the universe as Otto and them are in an open relationship
