After seeing someone do a redesign of otto octavius (my beloved doctor octopus) I decided to do something similar, a version of my selfship with him where I would be the supervillain.
I haven't finished drawing yet, I'm up next, so for now, admire the beautiful Otto Octavius —who in this version isn't a supervillain—
Bonus
A Spider-Man 2 take on my Butch Doc Ock !
I hate that I have to work closing cuz it means that I have to wait to get my Otto cards out of the mail,,,, at least my superior spider-man shirt came in and it looks okay on me so YAY (maybe I’ll get a pic of me in it sometime)
SHUT UP, HERE'S THE INFO AND DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OTTO'S LIMBS;
1. Flo was the only tentacle controlled by a FEMALE puppeteer. She's the top right tentacle and more peaceful master mind out of all the tentacles.
2. Moe is the more aggressive counterpart for Flo. It is shown in the movie how frustrated he reacts to Otto having more control of himself.
3. Flo and Moe are both used for more delicate tasks, like holding the radiation from the reactor, while Harry and Larry are for lifting heavy weight, like cars and heavy objects.
4. Harry & Larry are never separated, being referred to only as the “two bottom arms.” (Implemented twins)
5. They are approximately 4.5 feet long, but go as far as 13 feet. For comparison, in the comics, they are 6 feet long and go as far as 24 feet at maximum length.
6. Flo and Moe have more delicate spikes (triangles) and Harry & Larry have more constructed spikes (squares)
7. All of the tentacles have a central camera that allows them to be aware of their surroundings. Even if Otto wasn't awake he would be safe (as seen in the hospital scene in Spider-man 2004)
8. They can retract a needle like spike made out of titanium from the same gap.
9. They react to Otto's emotional state even when they don't want to. They guide him, help him, and wait for the right moment to strike, shown in the movie, where they let Otto grief for Rosie long before presenting the idea of rebuilding the reactor.
10. They are casted into Fiddler on The Roof. (If ykyk)
Yeah. They shouldn’t have let me learn to draw…. Original panels from 1977 The Amazing Spider-Man (comic strip) by Stan Lee and art by John Romita Sr
