The supraorbital gland has enabled penguins' survival in saltwater environments due to its water-filtering capability. The gland is located just above the eyes and surrounds a capillary bed in the head. This capillary bed constantly strains out the salt in the saltwater that a penguin takes in.

OKAY so you just Reblogged a post about how asexuals can have sex but like....... Doesn't asexual mean you aren't sexually attracted to things?? So like how does that work?? Do asexual people just have sex and not be attracted to the other person or what?? I'm not trying to be offensive or anything it just doesn't make sense to me

well i’m ace i haven’t had sex so i cant really say, and what’s true for me may not be true for other ace people, but

sex still feels good, so there’s that reason to have sex

also if they care about their partner/friend/whatev and want to have sex with them

ace people can still have a libido/kinks/fetishes/the desire to have sex etc without seeing someone and their appearance making them want to have sex with them specifically

sometimes seeing people having sex turns them on (even though the people themselves don’t), or like the idea of being in a sexual situation

and there’s grey-ace people who are only sexually attracted to people very rarely

for me like being ace, whenever people bring up the fact that they’re sexually attracted to someone im like “oh yeah that’s a thing..” i’m so used to not feeling sexual attraction that the idea of feeling it is a little weird to me, if that helps put things into perspective??
