Perspective, The Genesis.
What is Perspective? What is the meaning of the word Perspective? A particular attitude or way of regarding something, a point of view… Sounds pretty straightforward right? No, it isn’t… When it comes to a person's perspective or a person's point of view, no two people will have the same thoughts on something. The way you think is completely different than the way others do. The way you talk, the way you understand stuff, the way you live, or even the way you are going to read this. It's not going to be different for every individual. In that case, how can we expect that two people’s perspectives on something are going to be the same? It can be similar but never the same.
Perspective is a very powerful word. We don't realize how massive of an impact it's causing on our society. It can start a war and as well end it. It can change an individual's views on something completely. Perspective as we know can end the generation gap. If used right, it can save planet earth from being a complete catastrophe.Â
But all of this comes to one thing. The perspective of the one in charge. When we were little kids, everything we used to do was wrong from our parent's perspective. But from our perspective, it was completely right. This doesn’t end here… Even when a terrorist is on a kill streak, if we see through his perspective, the thing that he is doing is right, but from our perspective, the thing that he is doing is wrong. Now I am not saying that I support human massacre, all I am saying is, if some organization does it, then it's wrong. But, if the government does, then it's the best thing that can be done (Ignoring the collateral). If we break the law then it’s wrong, but if the ones who created the law break it, then it's totally fine.
Is there really something called right and wrong? I mean, if a person is right, then he might be wrong from someone else’s perspective… And if a person is wrong, then he might be right from someone else’s perspective… It’s not right or wrong that matters, it’s the perspective that matters… You can never be right nor be wrong about something. All you can do is just share your perspective/views about it. Some people might like it, some won’t. Again their point of view is different.
So, if you think you are right about something, that doesn't mean that the whole world should agree… It’s just that you are sharing your perspective or your view about something. If you consider a thing, there’s a chance that all the 8 billion people on this planet might have different views about it. They might be wrong or right, but either way, you gotta do what you have to.
Can we ever be right or wrong? Yeah definitely. Here where’s the majority comes in. If a guy has an idea about something, and if the perspective of 51% of the population thinks it is right and the perspective of 49% of the remaining population thinks it is wrong then, that man will be given the crown of righteousness. Then what about the thoughts or the perspective of the remaining 49%? Nothing, they will be ignored. That's how things have been working out for centuries now. If 1 guy has an evil plot against someone, and he manages to change the perspective of 51% of the total population to his favor, then voila, evil or not, he will be the God. So, if someone’s thoughts are evil, then whatever they do, how much ever damage they cost, it doesn't matter to them… Cause they are always right in their own perspective. So, evil stays evil, and good stays good.
But then, can we ever be right? Can we ever be perfect? The Answer is within every individual. You just have to dig deep in and understand thee first. You should not blind yourself to others' perspectives. Right and Wrong are just two words to keep the world order smooth. So, just believe in your perspective, cause others won’t understand your point of view on a problem until you solve the problem. They don’t care about the solution, cause the problem is solved. So, instead of worrying about what others, might think start working on the problems, and finding the solution. All the world cares about is the problem to be solved. Not the solution.
So what really is Perspective? Just an 11-letter word that has the ability to change the world that we know. But more importantly, it helps us understand the world and the things in it better. All you got to do is, put yourself in their shoes, and you’ll understand why.Â
