so basically this is what i imagine happened after sausages pov ended

can i just say that watatabe portrays trauma so well. like. hinako's reaction to having flashbacks is raw, accurate, and believable.

she regrets attending the festival with shiori because it reminds her of her family and while she doesn't want to forget them the memory of losing them always comes back to haunt her. even after ten whole years. she's shown nearly collapsing while looking at the fireworks because the memory of the past with her family is suffocating.

the way her dissociation is portrayed as her being underwater is also a powerful choice. as someone who dissociates it does feel like that. like there's a fog or film over the world and things are far away. watatabe does a fucking amazing job at portraying such things.

tl;dr. watch watatabe. you won't regret it.
