REPUBLIC OF FREMANTLE 🍹🍸🦐🍞 // currently my favourite for cocktails in Perth and such a great venue featuring cool, good vibes matched with nice music and outstanding service. Delicious, innovative cocktails that are perfectly balanced with the right amount of sweetness (aka ‘not too sweet’). We had the following: Pre-dinner: - Pandan Grand Slam: White Rum • Mango • Ultra Pandan • Pineapple • Lime • Champagne $23 - The Illusion: Signature Vodka • Melon • Jasmine Verte • Pineapple • Yuzu Fizz $23 - Two Plums for One: Bay Leaf Vodka • Plum • Umeshu. White Tea • Fizzy $18 Bites: - Prawns, brioche, remoulade $7 - Wagyu tartare, buckwheat waffle, crispy shallots $7 - Rainbow trout, Aromatic Gin, egg yolk, sourdough cracker $18 After dinner: - Pears Well Highball: Brandy • Sesame • Pear • Eucalyptus Honey • Verjuice • Fizzy $19 - Tropicool: Toasted Coconut • Scotch • Banana • Pineapple • Lime • IPA $19 Favourites were the prawn brioche, Pandan Grand Slam & The Illusion. Came here for pre-dinner drinks and bites and returned again (after a disappointing dinner at Bread In Common: tldr: bad service) intending for desserts but the kitchen had closed. They gave us Tim Tams and whipped up a complimentary dessert with what they had at the bar which was really appreciated. Thanks Max, Joshua, Richie, Tomas and the team for your warm & amazing hospitality - thanks for the complimentary last round of drinks and helping me charge up my phone too. FRIDAY DRINKS // cocktails and bites from @barlafayette @bfplperth in the @cityofperth - Remember there’s free parking in the city every night from 6pm! If you’re planning to drive though - limit your drinks (can be hard - the cocktails here were great!) or have someone as the designated driver. Drink responsibility. 😉 Of the cocktails tried, my favourites were the Watermelon Millionaire ($20; pic 2 - refreshing & slightly sweet); Lilac Collins ($24; pic 8) and Nuts & Berries ($21; pic 3 (in the middle) - this cocktail was the sweetest and it tasted like Weis’ berry smoothie ice cream). Favourite bites were the Chicken karaage bites ($15) and Mushroom & Truffle Arancini ($18).
