On my recent trip to @rottnestislandwa I went to explore some of the beaches and was lucky enough to find a nesting couple of Ospreys. ⁣ They built their nest quite smart on these cliffs/rocks in the middle of the beach, so they have a 360^ view around it. ⁣ One of the two just landed back in the nest, when I got this lucky shot. ⁣ Check out their impressive nest, sadly when I looked closely, I could also see some fishing net strings. ⁣ If you are on Rottnest in the next weeks, please keep your distance to them, so they can raise their young in peace. ⁣ Keep an eye on my stories, will post a video of start and landing in the next days 🙂 ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ 📸 Sony A7R III - F4 - 1/800 -Iso100 ⁣ Have you ever seen any interesting bird nesting? West Australian canola fields - ⁣⁣ I took this photo a few weeks ago east of Perth, on a countryside road trip. ⁣⁣ Probably one of the first blooming canola fields this season. By now there should be way more. ⁣⁣ I heard this year there is even a field planted by a farmer specifically for the photography and Instagram friends. Some more wildlife incoming in the next days, weeks! ⁣ Spending quite a bit of time in parks/ bush around Perth exploring. How could a bird like this ( and other types of animals ) not be my favourite subject?! ⁣ This parrot is a rainbow lorikeet and actually considered a pest in Western Australia ( it was accidentally introduced) , as they compete with other local bird species. ⁣ Well a nice pest to look at I would say. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Are there wild parrots where you live?
