               This was the first time he had laid his eyes on the lapping waves of the ocean meeting with the sand leaving a wash of dark color behind which lightened within seconds from the sun above. So, this was what he was missing out on, eh? He would have to actually get a swimsuit and come here for good time then !

Just as he was attempting to access any memory on whether or not he could swim an item fluttered to the ground in front of him. Kneeling to the ground and grasping the hat he saw the only other person nearby with the most intriguing of hair colors that the item must have once sat upon. 

Inay holds it up offering it to the tall fellow, “   I think this might have gotten away from you, man. Don’t wanna lose a nice cap like this to the ocean!   ”

Can’t help but think about how ominous this is.“ The animals on this island with the weird screen heads have always been........ odd, obviously-- but by now, he’s just gotten used to them as being part of every day life here. But today? Strolling by the Golden Ward, Ragna’s spotted the roaming dogs that usually stay in this ward, but the screens on their faces all have timers on them. It didn’t take long for him to associate the countdown clocks with the New Year, but...

     All he can do is hope that it’s only for the New Year, and not some vague warning about something weird to come. ... At least the dogs still want to be petted, so Ragna’s at least giving a couple of them that much.

||  █ ▌— seeing one leech twin without the other is a bit unusual, though he doesn’t know either well enough to say how normal that is. the only time he could clearly recall seeing jade alone was when he briefly stayed at pomefiore, earlier in the school year.

 “If you can use the hammer, do so.” the boat is leeking, however thought to put abandoned ships as a destination, did not know how housing work. It was stormy outside and some planks were coming loose. to avoid drowning or a wet afternoon, it was a busy hour.

||  █ ▌— ❝ jade !! ❞ floyd calls, spotting his brother near the seashore on the little island they both appear to have chosen to spend time on. and why wouldn’t they? the shipwrecks make for a lovely sight, and the island is small enough that he can swim all the way around it even in this clumsy human body. he pulls himself out of the water as he nears his brother, though. jade’s on land, so floyd should be, too. it’s easier that way, isn’t it?

❝ you don’t think we’ll have to fight for space on one of these ships tonight, do you? ❞ he asks, sounding almost too eager at the prospect.
