The Nazca Lines, a series of giant geoglyphs designs or motifs etched into the ground, located in the Peruvian coastal plain about 250 miles south of Lima, Peru. In total, there are over 300 geometric figures, 800 straight lines and 70 animal and plant designs. The Nazca Lines were created by the ancient Nazca culture in South America around 100 B.C. The Nazca Lines were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.
