The life of a medical provider is never easy. Whether it's as domestic as elder care or simple as a school nurse or busy in a clinic, the life of a provider is never going to go smoothly.

In the case of Lopper, a planet that's been desprate in avoiding the disastrous merger with anything Mira-adjacent... It's hard to work with the miniscule supplies we can get. Everything in my beloved clinic is outdated. The stationary, the system, the treatments. All of it could be improved if our whole planet chose to agree to Mira Corporate's terms... but what would happen to everyone?

We're working with everything we can muster, but we still lose crewmates. We still lose support. We still lose. Anything we achieve is slowly rotted by the chokehold Mira has. We've lost so much by their predatory buyouts. I feel... miserable when we can't save someone over something so... avoidable.

Even when I leave, I feel guilty.

There's still more that need help. And I can't provide.
