I got to hang out with Pete Steinkopf from the Bouncing Souls and Zach and Nick from Lost In Society today while they recorded and mixed for their new record at Lakehouse Recording Studios in Asbury today.
"Can you guys tell me a little about the new record? What went into it and why is it different than anything you've done before?"
"We all really worked hard and pushed ourselves as individuals and as a group to make this record a serious success. This is the one we want to shop out to different record labels. We feel like we've reached a point in our careers where we're taking this very seriously and we have the work ethic and the talent and it really shows on this record.
The last 3 weeks have been really intense and bit stressful for us. We wrote most of the songs/music in that time. We've been practicing non-stop and although it may not be perfect, we're getting as close to perfect as we possibly can.
On this record we stretched out of our usual comfort zone a little bit musically. There are a lot of little nuances in each song that you may not notice the first time you listen. But the second and third time you hear it it'll hit you. We really wanted to put out a really badass rock record."
"Well sitting here listening to some of these has me seriously bouncing along. I think I know all the words to "Listen" by heart and it's gonna be stuck in my head for days. Really looking forward to hearing the entire record when it comes out."
