Redrew ome of my drawings of the hubbies bc I've been neglecting them 😣💔

Thom is fr starving his husband smh, I cannnot belive this man 😮‍💨

Anyways I think they are the cutest lil guys ever and I'll try to draw more of them soon :)

Also Thom with a little bit of stubble bc he didn't shave/didn't have time to shave 👀 may draw more of that (fun fact in my first sketch of Thom I gave him stubble but decided against it bc he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to have stubble. Seems like he'd be clean shaven to look more proper)

Also I genuinely didn't try on Thom's hands so pls ignore those <3

And the quality is absolutely horrendous but I feel like that's also partially due to me drawing on grid paper, I cannot wait to get an actual sketchbook when I go back to school </3

Head cannons on their hobbies/skills <3

Lincoln <3

* I swear Lincoln says that he did track as a teenager so I like to think he carried it on into his adult life before the accident

* He plays a lot of chess (Thom encourages him to join a chess club but Lincoln flat out refuses to)

* He listens to any type of music without lyrics a lot

* He does a lot of research and writes books/papers on it

Amelia <3

* She shoots competitively

* She obviously drives around a lot but she also probably fixes up old cars in her spare time :)

* She probably works out a lot and likes to go on long runs

* She hangs out with Pam a lot and goes shopping or to the movies with her

Thom <3

* Baker/chef of the year

* Fencing like the posh boy he is

* I feel like I remember you saying that he also swam in high school and I love that idea <3

* He sews and knits a lot - he’s normally tailoring/fixing up his friends clothes or making them new ones. He definitely knits sweaters for Lincoln and Peter <3

* - I also had a thought last night that he knits things for people in hospitals and drops them off when he gets chance after having seen how depressing being in hospital can be

* He reads when he gets chance (he talks about books with Geneva) - he’s probably a fantasy/romance guy because he gets way too much crime with Lincoln akdjsk

* He also hangs out with Pam a lot

Peter <3

* I head cannon Peter to be a movie fanatic so he watches movies a lot (basically every day) and takes Thom to the cinema when he can

* He also reads a lot but he’s probably read non-fiction

* Does gazing lovingly at Thom every chance he gets count as a hobby?

* I don’t know why but I can see Peter doing stuff like flower arranging or something - it just gives me Peter vibes

* Peter can draw really well and sometimes he’ll sell his artwork - a lot of the time he gives it to Thom <3

Mel <3

* Ballroom dancing king

* He also does skeet shooting and wine making with Greta - they are so in love it hurts my heart

* He flies drones and I think he’s awesome for it

* Mel is such a nerd so I can see him having a really nerdy hobby like D&D or something

* He reads so much - he can get through books crazy fast

* Mel likes going for hikes/walks in nature - usually with Greta and his dog (who I think would be called Laika). He finds it therapeutic

* Also, Mel listens to emo music. He just really likes it

Lon <3

* In the twelfth card, Lon makes a reference to doing carpentry. If he was being sarcastic, I don’t care because carpentry sounds like a very Lon hobby

* - woodcarving would also be a very Lon hobby in my opinion

* You can’t tell me Lon is not the type of guy to go fishing

Ron <3

* Gardening <3 I’m pretty sure that in one of the books it says that he gardens

* I also think he’s do photography - he takes so many photos of his wife it’s unreal

* I’m pretty sure he has a dog? He takes the dog on runs with him - even after his head injury he’d never forget to take him out <3

* He used to ride motorbikes but gave it up when he had kids - he fixes them up with his brother sometimes

Roland <3

* Roland also shoots competitively - I think this is cannon

* Roland goes camping a lot and takes his sons

* He brews his own beers in his basement because it just seems like something he’d do

* He probably used to ride horses as a kid

* I can see him doing boxing or some type of martial art

Relationship dynamics but it’s just Mel and Roland and Thom and Peter <3

Headcannons about our guys <3 (mostly Thom, Peter and Mel)

• Please hear me out on Greta having tattoos 🙏

• Thom gets really lonely sleeping on his own most nights so Peter gave him a teddy with a recording of his voice saying ‘I love you’ inside and a bottle of his cologne to spray the teddy with every night <3 Thom got him one too

• Lincoln is very protective of Pam <3

• Peter’s phone is full of photos of Thom doing the most random stuff. He looks at them whenever he misses Thom <3

• Thom’s family is really fancy. He got dragged to work events with his parents a lot as a kid so his parents could show him off

• Thom and Peter both got in trouble with the police as kids. Peter got in trouble for just being a troublemaker and doing normal teenage stuff. The police knew him well and would usually just drop him at home and tell his mum to keep better control of him. He joked a lot with them

• - Thom, however, got in trouble for fighting and drinking underage. A lot of the time, police never caught him because he would run back home before they got to him. When he was caught, he would sometimes get aggressive and try to fight the police. He would end up getting cuffed and nearly went to Juvie a few times

• Lincoln secretly has a sweet tooth and loves when Thom bakes really sweet stuff

• When he was a teenager, Peter had school, work and had to look after his siblings. He was burned out a lot as a teenager

• When Thom got shot, Thom and Peter got to spend so much time with each other and Thom almost didn’t go back to work because he didn’t want to leave Peter :(

• Peter keeps one of those robots that you can control with your phone at Lincoln’s so that he can follows Thom around and talk to him (and annoy him aksjdka)

• Pam loves Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings because she would sneak away from her mum to buy them <3

• Mel loves Christmas. Partly because it’s the one time of year he definitely gets off but also because he gets to see his extended family and Greta’s family <3

• - Greta’s parents were unsure of Mel when they first met him because of how nervous he was but her mum warmed up to him when she saw how happy Mel made Greta. Her dad warmed up to him when he talked to him about his career being a detective and his dad took an interest

• — Mel’s mum absolutely adored Greta as soon as she met her. When she managed to get Mel alone, she asked him when he was going to propose to her and when she was going to get grandchildren

• Mel sometimes feels like he isn’t enough for Greta. Guys hit on Greta when they’re out a lot - she brushes them off and shows them that she’s with her partner and then leave her alone. Mel, being the insecure and anxious man that he is, looks at these men and thinks that they are more attractive than he is and then automatically assumes that he doesn’t deserve to have such a beautiful girlfriend

• - Greta is always fast to pick up on how Mel feels and reassures him that he is the most handsome man that she has ever seen

• Mel has had glasses basically his entire life - he had them since he was 2 and his parents picked the round ones because they thought they were cute and they were the cheapest

• - Mel’s family have always been very poor. His mum was/is a seamstress and his dad was in the army. Mel started working as soon as he could to help his parents. Even though Mel is a highly regarded detective/forensic scientist, they still struggle financially. He tries his best but with his mum’s health issues and how expensive New York is he struggles quite a bit

I love them all so so much <3 I’m doing a re-read of the series so I might make a post of small details I missed when I finish if you want that :)

This is serious procrastination because I have 3 tests coming up but I haven’t started revising for them 🥲

And while I have improved, I still can't seem to get Peter to be anatomically correct or proportionate 😭

Peter looks so evil, like he's planning a tickle attack or something and Thom is unaware and just happy to be getting love from his husband askdhskzj

Angsty angsty headcannons for my favourite men ever :(

Some of these are really long, sorry :(

CW/TW: abuse, depression, anxiety, implied attempted s€w€rsl|de, weight insecurity, head injury, homophobia - I don’t want anyone to feel bad about reading this

- Mel was in an abusive relationship before he met Gretta. His mental health was really bad and, being desperate to feel loved, he got with the first person he could. After the first few weeks, she began to make little digs at things like his appearance or him dancing that eventually grew into full-blown and constant insults. She manipulated him into giving her money and he didn’t argue because he was scared of confrontation. When she started beating him, Mel did nothing because, having never been in a relationship before, he thought it was normal. It wasn’t until one of Mel’s colleagues noticed bruises on him and interrogated him about them that he found out that none of this was normal. Still, he did nothing because he didn’t know what to do. When he met Gretta, he immediately fell for her. After a while, Gretta found out about Mel’s relationship and helped Mel leave his abuser. Since then, Gretta has tried her best to help Mel move on but he still wakes up in cold sweats, remembering what happened to him

- Lon used to be very insecure about his weight - he hated his body and tried everything to lose weight. He was constantly worried that one day his weight would get in the way of his job (even though he was just a bit chubby). His wife having an affair and leaving him only made his self esteem worse because he thought it was because of his weight. It wasn’t until Rachel came along that he realised to love himself and he began to try to lose weight in a healthy way with her supporting him <3

- After his head injury, Ron’s memory was never the same :(. At first, he forgot basic things like his phone number and passwords but one day his kids ran into his room, shouting about one of their birthdays, which he had completely forgot. He felt awful about it all day and decided that enough was enough and he started going to therapy to improve his memory. He sets reminders on his phone a week in advance for his children’s and wife’s birthday so he wouldn’t never forget again but he still feels so guilty about the times he forgot :(

- Peter was so angry at the world after his dad left. He was about to go to university, having worked really hard to get a scholarship, and then his dad up and left, leaving him with the responsibility of looking after all of his siblings and his mother. He had to take a ‘gap year’ where he didn’t nothing but work to provide for his siblings, all the while holding an intense grudge against his dad for leaving. If ever someone mentioned his dad to him, he’d snap at them and he often had random outbursts of anger that turned into sadness. He found every (irrational) reason to blame himself for his dad leaving. Even when he finally got to university, he was constantly worried about his mum and siblings and sent them any money he could. He still hates his dad for abandoning his family

- Thom’s dad is the most supportive man ever but his mum and stepdad are the complete opposite. They were both really christian and openly against gay people. When Thom finally got the courage to tell them, they made him pray for hours before throwing him out of their home and telling him to never come back. After this, Thom had a huge identify crisis and went through a period of trying to convince himself that he wasn’t gay. Peter helped pull him out of this way of thinking and helped him embrace who he is. Thom still tries to contact his mum and stepdad every so often but is met with coldness and homophobic abuse

- I said in a previous post that bullying put Mel in the hospital a lot of times and I wanted to expand on that. Mel, who was just trying to live a happy life doing the things he loved, got viscously bullied for all of his passions. He nearly quit dancing but his parents convinced him to stay. His grades never slipped but he stopped asking questions in class and stopped offering to answer questions. Even after he made himself virtually invisible, the bullying continued and eventually, Mel couldn’t handle it any more and tried to (I don’t know if I can say it on tumblr but you know - I hope) multiple times. Each time, he begged to be taken out of school but the school wouldn’t let him. It wasn’t until he very nearly passed that they took him seriously and let him be homeschooled. Mel still remembers the long nights spent in hospitals being held by his parents, sobbing and begging for the bullying to stop
