The way the 2014 Swedish Jesus coped with his inevitable death is actually quite interesting. He's like "Fuck it, gonna die anyway, so I'll have fun while I still can. Also that Judas is hot but so annoying." I think the Jesus in this version is the most self-compartmentalized Jesus I've seen. There were moments where he appeared very carefree, smiling, patting Judas' head, acting cute with Mary, enjoying the crowd's praises in Hosanna. All of this was just because Jesus was trying to ignore his impending death, until the truth finally hit him in the face and he can no longer escape it. In moments like that, his expression went completely blank and drained—just like in the Poor Jerusalem scene, after Simon Zealot tried to use Jesus’ influence to spark a rebellion.
We can see this pattern again in the kissing scene, and the moment right after where Jesus told the apostles that "It's over, stop fighting, go back to fishing." In some other productions, Jesus seemed calmer, more composed, and more accepting; he even had the presence of mind to worry about others, while the 2014 Swedish Jesus was still in a state of shock, pain and despair at everything that's happening in front of him.
