Peters work is kooky to say that least, he went over his life before being in art into his current career and his many inspirations. I really admire his ability to put work out that doesn’t fit the mould of what most people consider proper animations, I feel like this allows him to create new and interesting animations for himself.
I enjoyed watching exerts from some of his shorts films, I feel like they give real insight into his sense of humour as well as, again, his inspirations. I think it reminds me that part of being an artist is about indulging the things you like and what makes you want to create.
I think his work shows me that there are many ways to be an artist, that being showing your work as festivals or just creating while having another source of income. And his pushes to look for residencies and to go abroad resonate with me.
