Bless Peter Windsor. He just hit the nail on the head vis a vis Max's 'then they don't know racing' comment. He posited that journalists/content creators ask Max his opinion because they are not brave enough to just state their own opinion. They know he will honestly speak his mind, probably agreeing to some extent, but letting Max take the heat for it. And I will add that they are happy enough to feed him right back into the Max is a villain narrative. They are happy to be a part of a crafted narrative. Now is Peter a bit of an 'old man yells at clouds'? Sure. But when you hear him asked to articulate loving Lewis' overtake at turn 16 in China yesterday and bemoaning the loss of speed and power, you get the sense that he like Max, just actually loves the sport and is worried about it.

This is a team that's won Max races and world championships now it's the best team in racing or was up until a couple of races ago. And Max on the radio today was absolutely livid And he said whatever came into his head about the ridiculous strategy And it was a ridiculous strategy that Red Bull had allowing him to be undercuts the whole time every time he came out he's having to pass or trying to pass Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes And despite two DRS zones was unable to do so and it ended in tears as well with the two colliding Monza 2021 style going into turn 1 And Max being you know very very upset after the race And that's the way a racing driver should be. I'm sorry yeah It sounded bad but for the team to get on the radio to Max verstappen to say don't start talking about who was ahead of the apex Max it's childish to do that, childish . Who are they talking to? I can't believe a Red Bull employee said that to Max verstappen in the middle of the race I think it's absolutely appalling.

Peter my guy you're so wise. Can you imagine how difficult of a position Carlos is in right now. He was fired before the season even started and then he was expected to play team player all season. If I was in his place I'd hit someone with my car. But damn that guy is too nice.

Peter Windsor calls out the media for 'abusing' Lewis Hamilton

Former Williams and Ferrari team manager Peter Windsor, now working as a journalist, has called out his colleagues for the way they treat Lewis Hamilton and other F1 drivers. In an interview with Cameron F1, Windsor said Lewis has been "abused" by the representatives of the media for years now. "He's been abused so many times by stupid questions from journalists who just want to provoke him into saying something that they can misquote and put in a big black bold headline," the Briton said. "He's just given up really talking to the press in any sort of meaningful way, and it’s very sad that the press these days has done that," Windsor concluded.
