The Real First Impression || Peter and Raph
Seraphina wasn't exactly sure about Peter's motives- even with her abilities he wasn't really easy to read, a complicated mix of emotions and she didn't want to delve too deep. She was tempted though, just to establish whether he was someone she wanted to know or not. After all she knew next to nothing about him. Raph hadn't even really intended to message him about that coffee but she didn't really have all that many friends and she figured the only way she was going to figure out anything about him was if she took the chance to actually do so. Maybe later she would regret not going with the slightly unsettled feeling he gave her by not being an easy read.. but then again Camden had unsettled her at the very beginning too and they were more than happy together now.
So she texted him, keeping it simple and to the point- she didn't want to flirt with him even though that did seem to be part of his.. charm. If that was the right way to put it. She didn't even order a coffee, getting herself a smoothie instead as she arrived at Xtremely Xpresso and finding a seat by the window. She stayed away from the booths- not just because every time she looked at them her stomach flip flopped with the memory of her last conversation with Cameron but also because she didn't want the privacy of a booth with Peter. Not to mention it was her first time back in the store after that freak blizzard and she didn't want to suddenly start feeling claustrophobic.
The empath sipped her smoothie quietly while she waited for Peter to arrive, knowing that she'd gotten there earlier. The paper was open in front of her but she wasn't really reading it, almost seeming to stare through it instead. Her head only rose when she head the door open, eyes drifting over to check and see if it was the man she was meeting here.
