I got some Magic Mail today from @dispinland. It’s their Peter Pan Flight pin. It’s so amazing! This is # 2 of 4 of their #disneyrides collection. #1 was Mickeys Fun Wheel in DCA. I can’t wait to to get their 3rd pin in the collection, the tea cups ride. www.dispinland.com dispinland #peterpanflight #disney #disneyland (at Waverly, Minnesota)

Disney History: Peter Pan’s Flight
Here is a brief history of Peter Pan’s Flight at Disneyland in California!
Peter Pan’s Flight was one of Disneyland’s original Fantasyland rides along with classics such as King Arthur’s Carousel and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.It is one of Disney’s most popular rides, and can therefore have very long wait times even on off days. The ride is currently featured in all of the Disney Parks with the exception of Disneyland Paris, and is slightly different in every park. Obviously, the ride is based off of Disney’s animated Peter Pan movie (1953), which was based off of the story Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie. Originally you were meant to experience this ride from the perspective of Peter, however this changed after audiences were confused as to why Peter was not in the ride. Back when Disneyland used the ticketing system, this ride remained a “C” ticket ride. The ride underwent a renovation in 1961, as well as in 1983 during the remodel of Fantasyland. On February 2, 2015 - July 2, 2015 the attraction underwent another refurbishment during which they added new animations for Wendy, John, and Michael as well as some new special effects throughout the “London” and “Neverland” scenes.
