The Mighty Eagle

Last week we were in London for the Planet of the Apps conference. It was a fantastic 3 days and we met some great people from the business world. We took the opportunity to get on stage and present Cupple to a panel of leading VC's from Europe. The pitch went well and we answered questions thrown to us afterwards and made a contact with a potential investor in London. The highlight of the trip had to be an encounter with Peter Vesterbacka, the Mighty Eagle of Angry Birds.

During the lunch break on day two we were on the same table as Peter and had the chance to talk to him about the phenomenon that is Angry Birds. The conversation was truly inspiring and we got the chance to present Cupple right there to him after he asked us what we were up to. It's not every day you leave an experience with a business card that has 'Mighty Eagle' on it. 

The moral of the story is to get out there. Meet other people in your space. Put yourself in situations you normally wouldn't. Get feedback on your idea. Speak to the best in the business. Opportunity has a funny way of favouring the brave.
