Caffrey-Burke Day - Signal Boost
The Eighth Anniversary of the airing of the White Collar Pilot episode is on October 23. Time for another round of Caffrey-Burke Day! In case you didn't catch it the previous years, let me quickly tell you what Caffrey-Burke Day ISN’T:
It is not a swap.
It is not a challenge.
It is not slash-only.
It is not gen-only.
In fact, there are no sign-ups or any rules except that your fanwork should celebrate the awesomeness that is the Peter & Neal relationship we love so very much. How can you participate? It’s simple:
On or around October 23, publish a White Collar fanwork that focuses on or otherwise features the relationship between Peter and Neal. Any fanwork. Any subject matter. Any pairing. Any genre. Then, when you cross-post or otherwise promote your work, merely include in the summary or author note that it is for “Caffrey-Burke Day”. For Tumblr users, be sure to use the hashtag #caffrey-burke day Caffrey Burke Day (no hypens and thank you @voldiebuns) so I can find it and include it in the masterpost/archive. That’s it. What’s your favorite canon moment of Peter/Neal?
I’d hoped you’d ask me this, darling.
I have two favorite moments.
The first is from Judgment Day, when Peter signals Neal to run. Peter knows that he’s sacrificing his career for Neal, but Neal means too much to him to let him go into Kramer’s hands.
The second is THE HUG from Wanted. That beautiful, heartfelt moment when Peter wraps his arms around Neal, and Neal hesitates just for a second before blinking away the tears and hugs him back.
