You make things with your hands and it's wonderful. You can look for references and tutorials, and it won't devalue your work. Your pieces aren't supposed to be perfect, without any mistakes, to have a flawless wrong side.
Process of creating is a celebration of creativity, freedom, imagination and soul.
You can call me crazy but I'm gonna crochet socks. Not knit, but crochet. And it's gonna be a gift for my bf. I'm done with knitting, sincerely. Crocheting seems to be the only option left for me. Good luck!
I'd like to start a project with someone on internet!
Something like making things together, like crocheting, drawing, making jewelry, writing poetry or stories, taking care of plants, reading books or any other things.
Last months I discovered new forms of creativity. Something I never tried but wanted to.
I finally opened a brick of air dry clay and made some charms I can use for my necklaces. But I'm not sure if they're thick enough to endure constant use. I need to secure them with varnish, and for sure to correct them with sandpaper and paint before. I still make beaded jewelry, finished with bracelets, nowadays focused mostly on necklaces (I don't wear these bracelets, the process of creating just helps me to clear out my mind; i gift them to different people).
I unweaved the green cardigan I crocheted in summer and currently I'm working on a new vest, it's gonna be a gremlincore one. For now I'm making 26 (or 28, I forgot) granny squares, after I will weave the ends, block the squares (a block desk costs 50€! Pff, I decided to make it myself out of a paper box and knitting needles) and put them together. And aaaafter this, the most interesting part comes! A secret ingredient.
I tried fillet crochet. Wow, that's a really nice thing to do. I made one crochet for a gift (it was a pot pattern), and currently working on one anime project.
Here are my recent purchases, cute and useful! Since I unweaved stuff, I had to control the ball of yarn and it was annoying. I tried some homemade hacks but it wasn't good enough. And this cup is lovely, from now on every evening I drink infusion from it.
Not a creative thing (well, to some degree it actually is!) but I tried my first marinating (?). Tasty mushrooms! They're edible, I tried.
I wasn't very active these last months, so here was my short report. Thank you all for staying with me 🐸💚 Have good time!
When I ask myself how I feel, I usually answer that I'm tired. I can't answer that I'm happy or I'm excited, the only emotion left is exhaustion. And apparently I should be happy because it's sunny days, finally. But I simply can't. I'm tired.
The more I live, the more I realize how nice it'd be to live in countryside, maybe on a farm, take care of garden. I'm not afraid of hard work, I know how to do it. The closer to earth the better, you feel your real power, you see the real fruits of your labour.
Could you name a book (or several) that helped you find the strength to continue living? One that changed your worldview and helped you understand yourself.
