It was maybe an hour after Aiden had stopped by to give her a visit that she heard another person come into her room. She had been dozing off, her leg pains coming and going every now and then, but the sound of the door and footsteps helped make her feel wide awake once again. This time, her assumptions in who was coming to see her were right: it was Dan. She smiled, giving a wave before pointing at her leg in mock anger, a fake scowl now on her face.
"This is what happens when a girl just wants to make it to class on time for once," she said, shaking her head. She continued, jokingly. "I knew you would come sooner or later. Now, where’s my ‘get well soon’ card?"
He didn’t get to know exactly what happened, but decided to go to the hospital and see for himself. Just the thought of Petra being there was enough to make him a bit worried, though he wouldn’t really show it off. Daniel looked down at the card and he had bought and written on his way there and thought that maybe he should’ve get her something else. But then again, he still had her “welcome to Elias” gift to give her--not that she knew about it yet, he just didn’t have the time to really give her those days.
Once stepping inside of the room, he put the hand with the card on his back and closed the door behind him. Daniel ended up smiling, rolling his eyes seeing she was ok--if it wasn’t for her leg. “Well, well, is that really the story?”, he asked, chuckling as got by the side of her bed and sat down on the edge. “I really thought it was something worse and involved your black-kitten adventures”, Parker made fun of it, laughing. “And yeah, I guess I know you too well, don’t I?”, he said, showing off the card on his other hand. “It says ‘get well soon, and also be more caferul and drink lots of milk, kitty’, and I tried to draw a cat there, but we both know my thing is taking pictures, not drawing”.
