Steven hadn’t thought she’d take it as a challenge. He’d simply pointed out that one simply couldn’t wear their roller blades while going down a flight of stairs, as skilled as they may be. It was unsafe, and dangerous, especially to those who wore capes that were long enough to be a potential tripping hazard. He panicked, of course, and was afraid that she actually would make an attempt. “I – please, no, don’t – that wasn’t…a challenge…” He turned red, more embarrassed at his apparent inability to string words together in her presence than anything else, especially during such a crucial moment. “I can…carry you down? I don’t mind! Just…don’t try skating down a flight of stairs, please.”
[ ლ ]---Troian wasn’t having any of his warnings, really. It wasn’t as if it would be her first time rollerblading down a flight of stairs, and most of her experiences with the deal only led to a gash on her knee at the very worst. And those injurious moments usually involved unforeseen circumstances like a pen on the ground or a random student suddenly zooming by, so the youngest Storm was quite confident that she was going to be victorious with this feat. “You worry too much. Mr. Steven!” She offered him her most reassuring grin, patting him on the back before leaping up to the stair railing, her blue polka-dotted cape swooshing behind her as she gracefully slid down the single flight. The skid of her wheels rubbing against the metal rail provided music to her little show. “And--” She added an extra bend to her knees as she approached the last bit of the railing-- “Hah!”--gracefully leaping out into the air and landing perfectly on the tiled floor with a little twirl added for flair. She should remember to thank Bash for helping her recalibrate her wheels. “Ta-dah!” Her grin was cheeky as she turned towards her friend, raising a V-sign to celebrate her success. “Challenge won!”
