The painting “Hot” by Petro Boyko, a Ukrainian avant-garde artist and member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2012, reflects a deep inner tension and spiritual search. Boyko, known for his bright, symbolic imagery and bold color contrasts, often explores the dialogue between earthly passion and transcendence.
In “Hot”, the red sun burns with intensity, surrounding the figure of a man whose hands radiate heat and energy, as if playing invisible strings of emotion. Opposite him, under the cool crescent moon, an angel appears—silent and serene, offering a vision of calm beyond the fire of feelings.
Through this contrast of warmth and light, Boyko captures the essence of human experience: the struggle to find balance between passion and peace, impulse and contemplation, earthly desires and heavenly harmony.
