#2713 - Petrosedum sp.
A genus of stonecrop split off from Sedum, where they were previously considered a taxonomic series, the Rupestria. Rupestrian mean 'found on rocks'. One common Petrosedum is P. rupestre - AKA as reflexed stonecrop, Jenny's stonecrop, blue stonecrop, stone orpine, prick-madam and trip-madam, Sedum rupestre, albescens, caesium, collinum, crassicaule, cristatum, and twelve other synonyms in that genus alone. It has two in Petrosedum as well. The exact location of Petrosedum among related stonecrops is still unclear - molecular genetics studies have been inconclusive.
