tw animal injury & illness; blood
my cat threw up blood this morning. a lot of it. i rushed her to the vet. good thing we ordered a lab two days ago cause it was back and it looks bad. she probably has a severe gastritis, caused by the equally if more severe renal insufficiency and pancreatitis. the vet says kidneys must have been getting bad for a while (though it didnt show in symptoms at all), but exacerbated by all the intense meds she had to take for her eye and her leg. the pancreas may have been caused by the stress of her other illnesses and the frequent vet visits. both can affect the stomach lining.
i had to leave her at the vet. they're set up for 24hr care which is great, they have a whole pet clinic set up there. she needs to receive injections, both for intense medicinal therapy to improve her kidney and pancreas quickly, and because she can't eat with the gastritis. all we can do now is hope that it works. it's unclear how long she'll have to stay there, given the severity of her condition. i'll hear more tonight.
i'm worried. i have been stressed and going into panic attacks for over a week. i keep just starting to cry. it's a lot.
please think of my potato and wish her well. i don't have a lot of loved ones or good things or joy in my life. i don't wanna lose another cat just two years after mitz. i love pfanni so much. she's only eight.
