Do you ever find it annoying when you're trying to be serious and that just makes things worse? This happens to me with my friends because I don't realize when innuendo is being used or slang so I'm so innocent.
At Lunch Table, Eldest friend has named Proper Friend mom and continues to assign roles
Eldest Friend: Aww~, you're the baby in this family. (Said after I describe how a guy apparently was using innuendo around me and I didn't know)
Me: What?! I'm not a baby!
Eldest Friend: Yes you are, you're so cute and innocent.
Me: (points to younger friend) She's cuter and younger than me!
Eldest Friend: (nods) That's, why she's the little sister. She's so easy to embarrass and then hides her face in the most adorable way.
Younger Friend: (Blushes and hides her face)
Me: (Sigh) I'm still the second eldest and you just said I'm not as cute!
Proper Friend: Children, Children, please stop fighting. Look what I have (offers us fruit roll up)
Eldest Friend: Hey, at least you get looked after by all of us.
Me: (Thinks) Where were you when I was pushed into lockers (Takes fruit roll up any way to stop fighting)
Me: (Changes subject) Today in class we learned that purple and gold were signs of wealth, so I'm a rich Roman today! (is wearing purple shirt and gold necklace)
Eldest Friend: Kawaii~!!!
Eldest Friend: You're so cute! :D
Me: (Puts head in her hands and gives up.)
I think I'm doomed because this happens all of the time with other friends! I'm everyone's little sister for some reason. I want to at least be in charge a bit and for them to take me seriously. Instead of thinking my attempt at being serious is cute. That makes me lose all credibility.
