annual pfp redraw
#ive been meaning to draw more personal art this year but it never feels like a good time#and oddly enough times of strife and global unrest actually make me want to focus more on indulgent mindless art more than the deeper stuff#but what is art if not an archive of my own development?#is it okay to be wasting time on art that is not unique to me and just fun?#questions for therapy#i dont post much art here anymore. it sucks but so much has happened#the work i used to be so proud of and felt was so representative fo what i wanted to do long term is now alien to me#or it feels trite and naive and annoying#ive got ideas and some of them are even good.#but the lack of the motivation i have to turn any of them into real products feels indicative of where my passions lie at the moment#which is to say. not on my original projects anymore#it feels bad to have most of your most successful art not feel properly representative of you anymore#ive just changed too much#i grieve the person who wrote and drew RED in a fever#who wrote hearteaters and believed in her own writing so much that she wanted to make a short series out of red and wolf#its all lost now. but hopefully something else comes out of this. something new and better#i miss having passion and drive for my own ideas#stillindigo art#pfp redraw
