MILLBROOK WINERY // Three-course lunch (aud80pp and aud15pp for three matching wines) at Perth’s only two-hatted restaurant (awarded by Good Food Guide, 2020) located in Jarrahdale. Menu on @perthfoodmenu or click #PFR_Millbrook Complimentary bread, kefir butter and olives to start the meal. The sourdough with kefir butter was delicious. Entrée: Cumquat preserve, Duck Terrine, Spring leaves (pic 5) & Safflower mayonnaise, Charred Octopus, chorizo (pic 4) - octopus was tender and yummy. Generous portions. Mains: Butter poached cabbage, Pork belly, sauerkraut (pic 2) and Braised rainbow chard & kale, Swordfish, chickpeas (pic 3). Both mains were outstanding. The butter poached cabbage was enticingly fragrant and the pork crackle was crispy. Served with a complimentary side of the sweetest carrots and toasted sunflower seeds. The vegetables are all organic and grown at Millbrook Winery’s veggie patch gardens. Palate cleanser: Beetroot and yoghurt sorbet (pic 7) - refreshing and I finished both of these. Desserts: Mulberries, chocolate cake, hazelnut, mascarpone & Estate Honey Parfait (pic8), nut and seed granola, sunflower seed butter (pic 9). Sweet finish to our delicious and value-for-money meals. Not sure if anywhere else does wine pairing at aud15 pp - this is such a steal. Love sampling the different wines and especially love the Fiano wine (aud22.50 each - price for wine club members - signup is free) and Deep Wood Estates’ sweet Autumn Harvest wine (aud18) - brought back two bottles of Fiano and one of the sweet wine from the cellar door downstairs. #MillBrookWinery #Jarrahdale #FineDining #GoodFoodGuide #PerthFoodReview (at Millbrook Winery) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHUssmsDi3B/?igshid=sk3gzu6i222s
