Having transitioned from two vocational courses to an academic degree...and now back to a vocational post grad course... I'm finding it really tough not having five deadlines and an almost overwhelming amount of reading to do.

I have generally been stressing because I'm not stressed enough. It's wild.

I know that realising that is the first step to dealing with it, but at the moment it still feels strange.

Ok so, I'm a little bit emotional today as today is the end of my first school placement since my return to my PGCE. Not only am I pleased and proud that I have made it this far when I wasn't able to last year, but I am leaving with a high grade, we had an official school inspection by OFSTED for which the other teachers praised me for my safeguarding knowledge and the children I teach know today that I'm leaving and let me know how much they'll miss me. They've warned me that there'll be tears but chances are, I'll be crying too. They've taught me how to teach just as much as I've taught them their Maths, English, Science and everything else. I'm just happy and proud with what I achieved and I know I need to keep going. Also, after today, I am going to start writing again, I've just not the time to do so, so if you feel like it, send me prompts and I should be able to write them this time.

So yesterday was a crazy day.

Ofsted were in today, the phone call came at lunchtime yesterday. The school were not expecting this as they were inspected 2 years ago and got good with outstanding features. This is the first Ofsted for the head being a head, and the first since the school changed from an Infant school to a Primary school. Cue everyone freaking out, though parents' evening was last week so actually most books were up to date and the school was tidy. The only thing that was a change was that myself and the other PGCE student weren't allowed to teach our lessons so the teachers had to last minute plan those lessons. 

I did everything I could before I left last night, got in my car, started to leave and there was this massive grinding sound. My car wasn't going anywhere safely. Turns out the left front suspension is broke and was rubbing against the tyre (though it had been fine when I parked in the morning).. I work in a tiny village with no phone signal, back to school I go to phone home (luckily everyone was still there). I got picked up by a family friend, then we had to go back to get the car towed by the AA to my Uncle's garage. Got home after 11pm in the end to find an email from link tutor asking about lesson observation on Friday. Not what I wanted to think about just then.

So now I have no car someone has to take me to and from work as there is no public transport even close to the village. I also couldn't go running tonight and, as my mother is sick, I also have no way of going to see The Gaslight Anthem tomorrow. If any one needs me I'll be crying in a corner tomorrow ='(. I wouldn't be so upset if everything happened when I wasn't meant to be going to a show, especially one I've been looking forward to since August.
