Do you like cats? Do you like larger earrings? If you said yes to both of these questions then you'll understand why I'm smiling in the last photo! These sterling silver earrings are 2 1/4 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide and there are cats running under a full moon (hammered discs). These aren't feather-light but I wouldn't call them heavy. They don't pull on my piercing at all. The cats are handsawn and soldered to semicircles that I raised with my dapping tools, they're not flat. There's a lot of texture on the semicircles and discs from my hammering and the patina gives the design some great areas of contrast. The earring hooks are sterling silver and wirewrapped closed. The loops of the wire arches and the jump rings connecting the arches to the cats are all soldered closed.
