My daughters just ran off to get more wreaths, they demand this place needs more decoration.” Chase laughed softly as he did his best to sit up in his hospital bed but there wasn’t much space he could move. When Haven ha walked into the room, his eyes lit up, watering a bit at the sight of her. “Don’t you look gorgeous. Did you bring the little ones with you?” He smiled just at the thought of them, of Denver’s musical talent and Braxton’s kindness. Of Elena’s tenacity and Chace’s insistence that she was nothing like him but he was willing to bet that wasn’t completely true. He was sure Nathan was trying to be strong for all of them just as Haven had always done her best to do for him. “Hopefully I’ll see them later, yeah? I have a few secrets I want to tell Chace.” He motioned for Haven to come and sit next to him, smiling softly as she took one of his hands. “Hey, it’s the holidays, don’t look so glum,” he teased, though he knew it was hard to see him like this, still a bit sad about Agnes’s visit earlier. He knew they were all out there, just waiting to crowd the room but he was grateful to have a few moments with Haven. “I’m so proud of you, you know that, right? Of your life, the family you’ve built, of you and Perrie it’s...it’s beautiful.” He gave her hand as much of a squeeze as he could, letting his eyes close for a moment as he took in a deep breath. “Merry Christmas, Haven, I’m really glad you’re here.”

“Yeah that as kind of the point, Lani,” Luis breathed out as he ran behind one of the garbage cans to give himself some cover after launching a snowball right at her chest. Bash was soundly asleep inside and what had started as the two of them getting some air had turned into a snowball fight out on the front steps. “I mean unless you just think you can’t beat me.” He could feel her rolling her eyes as he put together another snowball but when he jumped up to throw his, he felt hers hit him squarely in the face as he fell back. “Oh shit, when did you get such great aim?” He could hear her laughing as he wiped his face and held up his hands in defense when she stood over him. “Okay you got me once, you really want to hit this pretty face again?” He wiggled his eyebrows and managed to sweep out her legs with his, catching her as they both fell onto the snow. “I have told you I’m more a lover than a fighter, right?” He smirked as he looked at her and brushed his own hair out of his face before doing the same for her. “And you said you weren’t a romantic,” he mumbled before pressing his lips to hers, waiting a moment before he dropped some snow on her head. “Sike! Come get me sucker,” he yelled out before jumping to his feet to run to the other side of the yard.

When my mom said she got me a gig I didn’t think this was it.” When she came closer after a few good jokes, he pulled her into his lap and placed a kiss on her neck, wrapping his arms around her tightly. “Let me guess, you totally want me to come over more as your Christmas gift, right?” He smirked and kissed her cheek before sitting back in his chair as he looked at her. “On a scale of 1-10, how much would you roast me if I showed up at your apartment in nothing but a santa hat?”

Fucking bully,” he joked, leaning down to kiss her before resting his forehead on hers. “Can we just get hot chocolate and call it a day? I mean it may actually take me a day to get there on these skates but I think I can manage.” He shivered and slid his hands into her coat pockets, smiling as their eyes met. “You know ice skating is some real cheesy couple shit,” he teased her and kissed her cheek before pulling away to start skating along the wall. “Come on slow poke, catch up.”

October already knows that Austin is overly cheesy but he knows that most of the time it makes her laugh so he definitely sends her morning texts daily.
