not beyblade related but i need to talk about sad-ist's latest animation everywhere or i will explode.,.,apologies to people whove already seen me cry twitter
An animation featuring Sad-ist's redention of creatures from Phillipine folklore, Kuneho, meaning "rabbit" or "bunny" in Filipino/Tagalog.
The script used is Baybayin, a syllable script used before the Spanish colonization of the Philippines. The script had a major decline in usage, but is still used in PH. Sad-ist writes in Baybayin multiple times in the animation.
Baybayin has recently struck my interest and seeing the symbols througout the animation has made me very excited.
It is centers around the attacks of "Aswang" or simply evil shape-shifting spirits that take many physical forms such as vampires and werebeats.
The animation includes other creatures, such as the Kapre, a tree giant. They aren't necessarily evil, but they can become vengeful.
One of my personal favorites, Tikbalang. Half-horse half-human creature. Tricking wanderers and travelers, making them lose their way in the woods. Punishing them if they intrude on their territory. From what I've been told though, they're more of tricksters. Depending on the region/what stories were told to you, they could be different.
Baybayin script appearing on the skull are the symbols for "Ti-k-ba-la-ng" Tikbalang
