Perched at the end of the bed, his legs were folded and his wings slightly crossed where they met at the floor. To not fall backwards at the additional weight of his feathered limbs, Raven kept leaning forward. One elbow was rested on his knee while the other arm moved effortlessly, drawing carefully chosen lines on his own, fully living canvas -- the vast expanse of bare skin Jonghyun so humbly offered him where he sat with his back facing him. Nothing was more therapeutic than this, and it was the closest he’d get to reliving his childhood dreams without actually tattooing someone.
And the younger male wouldn’t know that he had been doodling electric type pokémon for the last fifteen minutes until he actually looked in the mirror.
“I’ve been thinking...” Raven mused, eyes fixated on Zapdos’s tail as he wracked his mind trying to figure out what he wanted to say, and how to put it. A lot of ideas had been forming in his mind lately, ideas that perhaps were a bit on the under-cooked side, yet he found himself genuinely believing in them. He was on to something... something akin to a burning desire that couldn’t be put out nor controlled. This island was as much of a prison as the actual prison had been, and he was sick and tired of being locked up.
A few more moments of silence followed as he continued to draw on Jonghyun’s skin, absentmindedly adding onto the trail of electricity that connected all of the currently drawn figures. “Would I make a good leader?” Personally he thought so, as he always had been the leading kind. But sometimes your own image of yourself clashed with how others perceived you, and how would one lead a group that saw you as incompetent? Not that he assumed his friend to think so poorly of him, but he wanted some kind of confirmation from someone he trusted.
With that question hanging in the air, waiting to be answered, the winged man slipped back into silently drawing on bare skin. Yet he was more alert than ever, constantly sorting through his thoughts and opinions in preparation for the following conversation. He knew about Jonghyun’s affiliation with Lotus, yet he also understood why he had turned to them in the first place. Of course he wanted the other to show not only support, but to participate, in what Raven had planned for the future -- (a refuge without him would be a sad thing) yet he didn’t know if he could count on it.
But it was worth a shot, and he knew that he had chosen the right person to discuss this with first. Jonghyun would always be first, whether he agreed or not.
