Countdown to Christmas with BanG Dream day 7: Tomoe
*insert “this is the cutest shit ive ever seen” meme. Also I didn’t go exactly along with your request but i hope you still like it!! thanks for sending :D
You held on to Tomoe’s arm as the two of you walked up the steps to her porch. You had been out on a date; you went out to eat at your favorite restaurant then to the Christmas light show where they had set up extravagant lights, and you rode on a cart through the path to admire them. It had been a perfect Christmas Eve, and even the weather cooperated as it began to softly snow as you were walking home, cold but beautiful, giving you an excuse to walk a little closer to Tomoe.
Neither of you had wanted to break the silence, but as you arrived at her front door, she spoke. “I hope you had fun today,” she offered a slight smile as she turned to face you, taking both your hands in hers.
You nodded. “It was perfect,” you whispered, smiling back. Tomoe laughed softly, reaching up to brush some snow off your shoulder, and you giggled when she accidentally brushed your neck, although you suspected it wasn’t all unintentional. You grabbed her hand again, closing your eyes and breathing in the crisp winter night air, then slowly looking at Tomoe.
“It’s a shame you have to go home so early,” she said, tilting her head and smirking playfully.
“That was the one thing i didn’t like about tonight,” you began, your voice barely above a breath on the silent porch. “There were a lot of families on the ride earlier, so I never really got a chance to...” you trailed off, slowly leaning towards Tomoe and closing your eyes. You felt her breath on your skin as she let go of your hands, wrapping her arms around your torso, and then -
“Guys! You’re back!! Hurry inside, mom says I can stay up to watch one more movie but only if we start it now! Come on, guys! You’re gonna miss The Polar Express!”
Ako burst through the door in her PJs, then ran away just as fast, leaving it hanging wide open. You looked through it, then back at Tomoe. You could hear Christmas-themed commercials from the TV playing, then their mom yelling at Ako to clean up her dishes. Tomoe opened her mouth to apologize, but you burst out laughing before she could say anything. She started to laugh too, first a stifled giggle, but soon you were both clutching your sides, doubling over at the hilarity of what had happened.
“Come on, Tomoe, we’re gonna miss The Polar Express!” You managed, standing back up and grabbing her arm, dragging her inside her own house. She followed you, but just before you entered the living room, she pulled you abruptly into the bathroom, holding your head still while she finally kissed you. Your laughter faded as you leaned into her, hugging her tightly before you broke away.
“I love you,” she whispered, smiling. Framed by the flickering lights of the Christmas decorations and ads on the TV, her jacket still cold but the air around you warm and smelling of freshly-baked cookies, over the noise of Ako and her mom arguing in the kitchen, you whispered back.
“I love you too, Tomoe.”
