Dannymay Day 1: Eyes
"Hey, uh, hey guys, what'cha doing with the Fenton Anti-Ghost Pistol? And uh... why are you pointing it at me?"
Danny shifted nervously in front of them, slowly raising his hands in a warding gesture, as though he were surrendering. Maddie tightened her grip, hearing the whine as her blaster cycled up, charging to full power.
She wanted to believe, so badly, that the poison shining out of her son's eyes was merely a reflection of the weapon pointed at him.
But there was no glimmer of familiar, baby blue--
--Only the insidious, acid green of ectoplasm glowing from within; a window to the soul-- and her son's soul had been overtaken, overshadowed by evil.
And yet, somehow, the devil that had stolen her son's body seemed to capture his essence perfectly, a perfect actor, staring at her and Jack in bewilderment, but even the best actor, even the best devil, could not hide their fear entirely.
And Danny would never be afraid of them!
"Danny, honey, I don't know if you can hear me in there, but you're being possessed by a ghost." Maddie said gently, slowly advancing on the demon who stood so plaintively in front of her in her son's stolen body.
"Don't worry honey, this won't hurt a bit." Maddie said again, even softer, before hardening her gaze and glaring at the specter staring at her out of her son's eyes.
"Now, Ghost, you have five seconds to leave my son, or else! Five.... four..."
