i’ve escaped theory hell in basically every fandom i’ve been in by treating my “theories” as aus. after all, nobody can argue with me if i say it’s my au. i think more people should do that, because honestly some theories are just better as fleshed out aus, rather than bending canon logic in favor of making your theory work. besides, it saves you (and me!) from a lot of discourse
