Touching Is Good

Nintendo said it best, right? Because many of us on the interwebs are like children still, we give Nintendo crap for this very quote that can quickly go from E for everyone, to something more M for mature. With that statement out there already, let's get to the point, shall we?

Physical touch is a gateway to quite a bit. There is a lot that can be interpreted from the right soft and/or comforting touch. I pictured Rika and Chaz here from Phantasy Star 4 because I think their relationship is top tier in gaming. Chaz is a mere child student learning from his mentor Alys. Meanwhile, Rika as a Numan, spent their entire life in a bio-plant before being exposed to the world. The relationship in-game kinda just creeps up on you as Chaz and Rika get to know each other, but is downright adorable towards the end. The two instantly feel at home around each other.

A held hand can mean, hey, I trust you. Maybe a sign to go on an adventure. Maybe with locked hands, you signal your partner to exit a place one or the other may not feel right in, and/or ditch the plans or party for your own plans. An arm around someone could be a sign to lean in closer or hey, I like you. You could always be rejected too, but what if you weren't? This post assumes a good outcome, whatever it may lead to. Did you both have a crappy day? Hand held. Have a smile today. Nintendo does indeed have it right after all.

Touching ones soul can lead to lifelong connection or commitment if pursuing a relationship. Maybe you just need a hug for the day. Why such a cutesy post? Sometimes we need something a bit sappy or cheesy, right? There are plenty of Final Fantasy couples that people like as well. Plenty more through the gaming space, various movies, TV shows, and real life. I'm sure many started with a simple touch. Someone reaching out. The only real question ends up being who reaches out first. From then, one or the other can make the other feel better. There's much more physical touch can lead to but sometime, just the simple things, make a huge impact. Touch someone, with consent, and with intent. Make someone's day. Remember to love one another, in whichever healthy context you see fit.
