Phantom!Sans Attacks the reader because of something we'll call 'Shared insomnia', if you're not sleeping, he cant, and the guy hates not being able to sleep because you refuse to get rest.

He doesn't know why, but when people on the land don't sleep for prolonged periods of time, his ability to sleep is revoked, and he hates it.
