Phantom has been working hard, every free chance he gets, even when he's doing his chores he has his learning book with him. Eyes focused on the words and trying to make them out as they blend together so easily.
"The... Duck... Crossed- hm." He squints harder. He doesn't know that one yet.
He's doing amazing progress then when he was first summoned! Copia has even had a hand in helping him learn. They realized he picks up Latin faster than the other languages. More closer to the native tongue.
When he could read his first book the whole pack celebrated, it was a major thing!!
Dewdrop just helping Mountain cook dinner with Phantom on the counter behind them. "Here, read the directions to us."
"1 t... Tablespoon? Yeah! 1 tablespoon of vanilla, wow that's a lot of vanilla-"

His current project is working on a chapter book, and Cirrus just gently kisses his forehead as he's asleep, cradling the book. Puts a bookmark in and tucks him in gently.
